First time in the Pool…

Sister had booked the chalet for her 21st birthday celebration. We went there after Sherry had her afternoon nap.
We left home around 4 plus and after feeding her porridge, Hubby wanted to bring Sherry to the Water Playground. She had so much fun and refused to come back. But it was getting late, so we coaxed her for a long time before she agreed.
Quickly brought her to the bathroom for a quick rinse but she slipped and fell while I was adjusting the water heater. She had a fright more that she hurt herself on the head. She must have just had landed with a light knock on the back of her head. I was shocked to see her lying down looking at me. Of cos she wailed but both sister & I managed to clam her down pretty fast.
When we were done, she almost fall again when we were cleaning her but this time, we managed to catch her in time. Phew!! We keep quiet about this incident when we found that she is playing well and totally forgotten about it. But we had told my mum about this and she has the same thinking, keep quiet about this.
Sherry really had so much fun with all her aunties & uncles and of cos the rest of the family. I had my fair share of rest while they looked after my girl for me… Keke…

Eve of New Year’s Eve

Haha… What a title… But today is also a full working day for us.
Since Hubby is going back for dinner so decided to wait for him as I’ve also have some urgent things to do in the office.
We had arranged to meet at 7pm @ the lobby of his office. But he was very very late. He made me waited for him for half and hour!!! I was so angry with him. If he had told me early that his boss had thrown a little party for him, I could have finished more things in the office instead of standing there like a fool with the heavy laptop!
The worst thing was that he was forced to drink a cup of cola with whisky before he left. Knowing that he will be driving, his boss still made him drink. Tsk Tsk Tsk! I was even angrier and my face, of cos even blacker than before. His face was even redder so he was waiting for it subsided before coming down to meet me.
He knows that I was fuming mad and we just walked briskly to the carpark. We still have to go to the YT NTUC to pick MIL & the kids as they had bought so many groceries.
During dinner, Jessie (Felicia’s mum) called and said that they are still outside so we do not need to send her back so early. Both of us were so happy which means we have more time to chat. In the end, Hubby only send her back around 11pm after taking some bird nest which MIL had double boiled for the family.

Dinner out with the kids

As promised, we had arranged to meet Orchard MRT and we are going to Swenson’s for dinner.
Sherry was so fascinated by the lightings along the road and also the Christmas lightings on the building. We walked from the MRT station to Crown Prince, and we also waited quite awhile for our seats. But we had placed our order while queuing so our food arrived quite promptly.
Felicia had a kid’s meal and I’ve order additional chips so that the kids can have some. Sherry was enjoying herself and having chips after chips. She had also tried on the apple juice and kept on asking for more. Haha… She really knows how to enjoy.
After dinner we went over to Paragon to wait for Hubby to come and pick us. When we reached home, quickly settle down; let the kids run about for a little while, before chasing them to bed.

Surprised!!

Around 8 in the morning received a call from Felicia, telling me that she had gotten her visa to come over for a short stay at my place. I was so happy cos I really missed her so much when she was away for the 1 month holiday in USA.
As I would like her to come over earlier so that she can spend more time with Sherry. I’ve arranged FIL to go and pick her instead of waiting for my Hubby. FIL, MIL & Sherry went over around 12 plus and the two kids are so happy to see each other.
I heard from MIL that they had so much fun and enjoying each others company until Sherry did not want to take her afternoon nap. Kekeke… Both of us went home for dinner and also to accompany them. I’ve also told MIL not to cook tomorrow as I would like to bring them out for dinner instead.
Since Sherry only had a short nap in the afternoon, she was very tired but still refused to go to bed. While we were having our dinner, she fell and bumped into the wooden door and bounced back to hit the door frame. OH MY POOR LITTLE GIRL… It must have been very painful for her and us quite awhile to pacify her.
So around 9 plus, I forcefully asked her to go to bed and of cos it just took her awhile and she is in La La Land. Whereas for Felicia, we sat in the study room to chat till around 11pm, before I chased her off to bed.

Short working week

Back to work today, and this week will be a short working week! Yippie!! I’m really looking forward to this coming weekend, which is the youngest sister’s 21st birthday celebration.
Time files so quickly today and soon it’s time to meet Kat. We went to Kiddy Palace @ Lot 1 to get the Tollijoy bottle cleanser before going back home by bus.
The rest of the evening are just routine, settling Sherry and then went to bed @ around 11pm.

Stay @ home Boxing Day

Since we had been out to play for the past couple of days, we had decided to stay at home today to rest before the start of the new work week (although it’s a short week). Sherry also has fun at home with her newly purchased tricycle. She keeps on asking Daddy or Mummy to push her around the house.
MIL left for BIL’s house again. This time, Rachel is home, but BIL had gone to work. She was unable to see clearly cos she is unable to put on her glasses and also contact lenses and she is on medical leave till Thursday. MIL had a chat with her, it was all because that he was drunk and she went to turn off the engine and lock his car, he gave her a box in her eye! And her glasses broke and cut her face! It was so lucky that he did not hit her into her eye! I was in fact so angry with BIL, how can he do such a thing to his wife! Anyway, MIL said that she seems alright now but MIL is still upset about what her son had done!!
Since we had decided to stay at home, I’ve prepared the soup and when MIL is back, she just fried some vegetables and steam fish, so healthy dinner. But I’m not enjoying my dinner as I was having the run. But after taking the medication, it’s gone by the time I went to bed.

Merry Christmas & Happy Birthday to Granny

This evening we had to attend a Christmas party at Roy’s house and then proceed to attend the dinner for my granny’s birthday.
So we stayed at home in the earlier part of the day to let Sherry have enough rest. Today, I’m super busy with everything. Since the both of us had woke up late so everything is to be prepared in a swift.
I’ve to get ready her dinner by 4pm so that we can bring it to Roy’s house to feed her. She misses her Jie jie, Felicia very much, keep on asking Felicia to carry her around. And of cos, she’s very gladly to bring everywhere in the house.
We left Roy’s house around 8pm and reached East Coast around 830pm cos there was a slight jam and we had to search for carpark. I met Dollin in the carpark; we had parked side by side. We had a brief chat and off to the restaurant we went. As I had already informed the rest that I’ll be late so no one makes any noise about it.
We had a quick dinner and we all left around 10pm. Sherry had enjoyed herself at the dinner and still refused to sleep till around 11pm.

Missing

We received a call early in the morning around 4am and it was Rachel, BIL’s wife. She said that she is bleeding as BIL had hit her! She was crying and asking Hubby to go down to her place with MIL, so both of them went down immediately.
But when they reached there, her brother had already sent her to the hospital and BIL had gone missing! The both of them went round his neighbourhood hoping to find him but it’s all in vain. He was nowhere to be found. MIL was so worried and she had left a few voice mails for him to call back.
Whereas at home, I was also worried sick about them, after they had left the house, I was unable to sleep till they are back. Poor Hubby was so tired and kept dozing off on the chair.
MIL still went down around 1 plus, hoping to see either one of them at home but they are still not back. Apparently, Rachel had gone to her brother’s house to rest as she had a few stitches just below her eye. Whereas BIL, we are still unable to locate him! So she came back around 2 plus to rest.
What a Christmas present for all of us!!!

X’mas party at Granny house

FIL send us to mum’s place while Hubby stayed home to rest. I’ve arranged to meet the two sisters @ Hougang Mall cos I need to get 3 Christmas presents for the party on the next day. We had our lunch first before we went for our little shopping spree.
I managed to get a necklace with the letter ‘F” for Felicia, a DIY calendar for Leonard and a set of stationery for little Abigail.
After we reached Mum’s place, the first thing to put Sherry down for her afternoon nap as we are going to the Christmas party @ Granny House later in the evening. But she only fell asleep after I gave her a good scolding.
When everyone is ready to left, this time she refused to wake up. I had to persuade her to come out of her sarong and we went to granny house. While she was having fun, we had our dinner. This time, the both of us need not have to worry, as she is well taken care of by so many aunties, grand-aunties and her grandparents.
We left around 10pm but of cos, she had so much fun that she shows no sign of being tired. After cleaning her up, quickly chased her to bed.

Back!

Since FIL is coming back tonight (to be exact, 1am on 24th), we had agreed to let MIL sleep with Sherry for just one night.
I’ve got mixed feeling about this arrangement. On one hand I missed my bedroom and the other I missed sleeping with my girl.
We went to the airport around 12am and I’m so happy to see my other girl, Felicia. I was so surprised to see how much she has grown. They are the last group to left the baggage claim and it was already 2am when we reached home.
Luckily we do not need to work today, if not we’ll be super duper tired.

BOH SONG!!!

When I heard that MIL had went ahead to get the tricycle for Sherry yesterday, I really blew my top. Grumbling non-stopped to the gals!! I really cannot understand her. How come she just gave in to Sherry when she just threw her tantrum!! She is really spoiling my gal in a way training her to be a spoilt brad!!! I was so damn angry with her that I just stayed back to work instead of going back early!
Sherry seems to know that I’m angry and she is afraid to come near to me. She did not even call me. But later she came over and called “mama” and came & talks to me. But when I was carrying and talking to Sherry, MIL stretched out her hand wanting to carry her when Sherry is making some noise. This really added on to the fire! My face immediately turned black and told her off that I’m talking to my daughter!!!!! And immediately let Sherry down and walked to the kitchen to have my dinner!!! She had really spoilt my evening!!!
DAMN BOH SONG!!

Company X’mas Party

Today is the day for us to celebrate and also can leave early officially… keke… The organizing committee (including me) leaves office around 1530. We were there slightly early to take a look at the venue and also to do all the necessary arrangements before all the bosses arrives.
The rest of the people arrived around 4plus and some close to 5pm. Some of them did put in effort to dress for the party; they were supposed to be dressed in red, green or white.
Around 6plus to 7pm, the families started to stroll in which includes my Sherry and MIL. She had taken a cab to the club after Sherry had her porridge. Sherry has lots of fun. She was amused to see lots of water. The swimming pool, the sea, big boats and some big birds which she told us they are ducks. Haha… Hubby arrived around 8 plus and the party continued till around 9 plus 10pm. We had to end early as tomorrow is a working day for the most of us.
When we were home, after making milk for Sherry, Hubby looked after her while I went to have my shower. In a while, we were all in La La Land.

Shopping??

MIL was very persistent to get one bicycle for Sherry and she wanted to go tonight as she wanted to get one for Sherry’s Christmas present. But in fact, I’m quite against the idea to get her one. Who is going to look after her when she is riding the bike?? The thought just put me off totally. She was already pretty stressful when Sherry walk and fall don’t talk about falling off from the bike. Goodness!!!
MIL said that this is something that she had promised to get for Sherry so she must get one for her! Hai… Knowing that I’ll not be able to persuade her not to buy the bicycle tonight, I called Hubby to tell him about his mum’s idea (I know I’m mean). Immediately, he told her not to get it first, he would like to go with her to buy just in case she has got something is not what he would like to Sherry to have. Luckily she has no choice but to listen to her son… Haha... Well, I know this trick will definitely work!!
So we just spend the night at home. As usual, playing with Sherry, she is always making mummy very tired. I’ve also arranged with Hubby to come back early so that we can go and get the FM and also some groceries. When we were home, Sherry has not slept so her Daddy managed to spend some quality time with her before she heads to La La Land.

X’mas Shopping Day

Kat had decided to go to Lot 1 NTUC to get the Nepia diapers which are on promotion right now. They are going for $26.95 for 2 packs, but too bad, I’ve already ordered my supplies from the distributor. So we met at Door 15 instead of Door 5 so that Kat does not need to walk too far.
The same routine begins when we met, yak & yak till CCK. First stop was the shopping tent that is outside the mall; saw a nice photo frame and its only $20. As it looks presentable and also the price is just within the budget, decided to get that for the gift exchange. Next, went to the shop to collect my pants. The third stop was at Sembawang and bought the latest Andy’s CD and proceed to Mini Toons. We found the mugs, it’s the Pooh family one, and some more with lid lei and the most important thing is that it’s not expensive!! Kekeke… We got a few of them and the final stop with Kat was to the NTUC. We got the things we wanted; I left first as Kat went shopping around with her ah lao. I went to get the photo frame before I went off to the train station.
Sherry came running to the door when she heard me opening the door. I think she must have missed me and she refused to let me take my shower and my dinner too. Since it was already 9pm, I’ve decided to settle her to bed before I cook my dinner (Maggie mee). But she did not really felt asleep till 10.05pm and by the time I took my dinner it was already 10.30pm. hai.. fat die lah..

Sunday – Stay at home

Nothing interesting as it’s just a normal Sunday and we have fun with Sherry at home. Although, she had more and more scolding for not obeying like stop walking tip toed, don’t go near the fan, don’t touch this and that. Lots more to scream at.. But overall, we had fun.
A plus point today will be that I had cooked dinner for Hubby, it has been a long time since the last time I've done that.

Shocking News

Angeline was back in the optical shop and since I would like to check my eyes so went over there before going to mum’s place. She then told us what happened to her over the last month and why she had been away for so long. She discovers a lump when she was having her body massage and so she went for a check up @ Mt E when she’s back home. The doctor told her that she had a fibroid and told her that she should remove it. Then she had fixed appointment to remove it but after that her uterus does not heal on its own. She had been going in and out of the hospital within that month. She had even went through another 2 times of key hole opening to remove some of the liquid in the uterus but it still did not help her. In the end, she had to go under the knife again, this time to remove the whole uterus in order to stop all her problems.
After hearing all these, it really kind of scare me as woman, we really do not know what’s going on inside. It really kind of worries me. She is the same age as me but she is still single and unattached and yet now she has to carry on her life without that… It’s so sad..
It was already 4 plus when we went over the Mum’s place and stayed there till about 9 plus.

New Sleeping Arrangement

To my surprised, Hubby & MIL had been discussing about letting Sherry to sleep on her in her room. (Hmm... secret discussion and I was not involved!)
Since they had agreed to try out (but don’t know when lah) I’m so happy lah. This means that I’ll be going back to my master room, sleeping on my King sized bed, how I miss my bed. Keke… Of cos, I’m so happy that now at least they are willing to try out something new. And to me it’s already time to train her to sleep alone.
So the new arrangement will be, we’ll have to dismantle the bed and will move the sofa bed to room and Sherry will still sleep in her cot. At the beginning stage, someone will still have to accompany her before she is in deep sleep. And MIL still has the cheek to say that she’ll be unable to sleep and will definitely worry about Sherry and she may goes and sleep with her!!!!! I was damn pissed & told her off immediately that, in this case what is the purposed of us sleeping with Sherry at the first place and what’s the point of letting her to sleep on her own. Pls give up your hope, MIL!!!!
She was unhappy but I don’t care cos I would want my girl to grow up more independently & not to be very sticky to MIL. ARRRRRRR!!!!

Trust!

People had told me that trust is the word to make relationship works but if in any chance there was a breach, and then it’ll be very difficult to maintain it as before.
Scorpios are the one who believes in truthfulness and if one day, he found out that there was any dishonesty, that’s it. The trust has broken and it’ll take a long time to belief in the person again. To Scorpios honesty is the strongest word in a relationship. Once this is breach, it’s just like a broken mirror, the cracks are always there. One says, time will heal but for this no time will heal anything.

Late

This morning woke up slightly later than usual cos had slept late the previous night. After washing up, went to do the usual stuff. So in the end we left the house late too.
Today is not a very busy day, managed to finish dig out all the 2004 documents for my Controller and it was already afternoon when I really settle down to do my own work.
I had arranged to meet Kat at Door 15 cos I’m going to Lot 1 to exchange for the clothes that I’ve bought on Saturday. But after trying so many pants and skirts they are all not suitable for me. In the end, I settled for the pants of the same design but 2 different colours.
After grabbing our breakfast from bread talk, I took a train back to YT, went to the NTUC and get some groceries and so happened to see Kat’s Hubby but he did not see me so I also did not went to approach him. Sherry was playing went I reached home. Quickly settle my things and have a quick dinner so that I can have fun with my little girl before her bedtime. To my surprised, she did not have any signs of tiredness. So she only went to bed around 10pm and soon it was Mummy’s turn.

Having Fun

Last evening, I brought Sherry to Tulip Montessori @ blk 642 to let her see the place and also I can have a talk with the teacher Mrs Guan.
She was having so much fun on her own and the teacher even told me that she’ll be fine with the 2 to 3 days per week session. But I’m still thinking of signing her up for the 1 day per week session first for her to have a feeling of school days.
So the teacher suggested that I can bring her down this coming Sat (17th ) and the following Sat (24th) for 2 trial lessons before enrolling her into the weekday playgroup. The fees for the 2 days per week session will be $550 per term and the 3 days per week session will be $700 per term. Each term is 10 weeks and all these do not have any subsidies as this school is not a child care centre and they are just enrichment program.
After a short discussion with Hubby, most likely we’ll be sending Sherry to the Saturday program these 2 weeks for a trial period and then we’ll make decision from there. Hopefully she’ll enjoy herself. Keeps our fingers cross.

AM I RUDE??

Last evening, I brought up the issue that I’m not pleased with to my MIL. It’s the time for Sherry to have her meals. She always like to give her lunch at around 1130am and dinner around 530pm and the worst thing is that she’ll serve the porridge once it’s done. She does not like to cook in advance and wait for Sherry to come & ask for food. This is something that I really DON’T like about it! Why must it be done in this way? For me, I just cook as and when I’m done with the preparations and if she is still not hungry, I just wait And normally, I try to feed her around lunch time which is 12pm or sometimes 1230pm. She is unhappy with my way and of cos I’m unhappy with hers!
She kept on saying that it’s her practice and I’m trying very hard to put across to her that she has to go school one day and her timing will be different and then if we change by then, it may be difficult. Why don’t we just do it right now and in future will be easier of all of us! She does see the point but she would want to insist her way. She even told me that on the days Sherry has to go to school, her lunch time will be around 12 plus and those days that she does not will be the same. So I just speak to her in a very firm manner that it’ll be better if we do it right & so Sherry will not be confused. But I can bet u gals that she’ll not listen to me anyway!! *Arrrhhh!!!*

Dinner @ Granny House

Today is Uncle LH’s birthday and he had asked the few of us to join him at his place for dinner. I informed MIL early not to cook dinner and so she just went out after her shower.
Sherry managed to catch a nap for around an hour or 2 and when I wanted her to have another nap before 5pm, she just simply refused no matter had long I’ve rocked her in the sarong.
After her evening porridge, and after we had settled all our stuffs, we left home around 645pm. Luckily sister had told them earlier to keep away from Sherry when we arrived and let her warm up herself and this works! She warmed up quite quickly and she has lots of fun there. She seems interested in every single toy there and she even wanted to sit on top of a really rabbit! Keke… But her favourite toy is the car! OMG!! She is really like her Daddy, CAR LOVERS! She had so much fun that she refused to go back home. It was already 1015pm when we left the place and in no time she is in La La Land. We even had to try to coax her to have her milk before putting her into her cot.
Soon, it’s mummy’s turn too. Good Night…

Not home most of the time

Today is the birthday celebration for Careen’s gal, Alanis’s 1st birthday party. As planned, Irene can to pick us, but she went to pick Kat & Shannon first. We were the first few to arrive at the party. Jan was still unsure if she is going as RayAnne was still having her nap. But to our surprised, she arrived quietly when we were having our buffet.
The kids had lots of fun and so do we. After the cake cutting session Irene offered to send us back to Bt Gombak and from there, we took a train back to YT. Unfortunately, this silly me, forgot to bring my house keys and luckily MIL was just around the area. We had arranged to meet her at the station. Sherry fell asleep on the way back and also in the train. But she woke up when I put her down into the playpen.
Since MIL did not cook dinner today, we had arranged to meet Hubby at Lot 1. After Sherry had her milk, we went out again. This time, we took a bus to CCK interchange and went shopping while waiting for him. I bought 1 skirt and 1 pair of long pants from Sense (both cannot fit, cos I din try, wohaha) and MIL bought a red T-shirt from Seiyu. I went to the NTUC to look for the Tollijoy’s cleanser as there isn’t any at the YT outlet, thinking that they may have it at that branch. But they dun have stock either. Went to Kiddy Palace, they dun have stock either. So no choice but to get the Pigeon brand and got the twin pack since they only have that.
We also saw the Strawberry Shortcake show at Lot 1 and to my surprised, Sherry enjoyed herself so much. She was dancing away when the characters are doing their dance too. Keke… So cute. Haha… When Hubby arrived, we went to the foodcourt to have our dinner and after that we went home straight as I’m already dead tired after a day of running after that princess.

On Leave

Since today we are both on leave, we had planned to bring Sherry out for the day but of cos it turned out to be only half planned.
We brought her to Courts @ Causeway Point to shop for sofa after she had her porridge and afternoon nap. There was nothing that we fancy so we diverted to IMM instead. First stop was to fill our tummy. Keke... We had a heavy breakfast and we only settled for something light. Second stop it’s our first & final furniture shop. This is the first time that Hubby managed to settle the stuff at the first stop. We got a new L shaped sofa for around $1,900 with GST and it will be delivering on the 16th Jan 2006, just in time for CNY!!
After all these, we send MIL to Shunfu Road for her gathering and then off to mum’s place we went. Sherry was so tired that she fell asleep on the way there and carries on sleeping even though we had reached mum’s place. After her nap, she had a great time with her 2 ah yees and her grandparents.
We left around 10 plus to pick MIL and she is still very awake. After unpacking all the things, quickly put her to bed so that I can also go to La La land.

TGIT.. Yippie

So happy lei, cos I’m on leave tomorrow… yeah..
Actually, I’ve been feeling guilty cos this year when Hubby is on block leave, I was unable to take any leave to accompany him. He had taken leave at the wrong time as it clash with my rush hour. And this month is so terrible, I’ve been staying late for my rush hour. So had decided to take the day off to accompany him and Sherry to compensate them lah… keke..
And tomorrow I’ll also go back to mum’s place for dinner as will need to attend our dear little caterpillar’s 1st birthday celebration. Keke.. See u gals on Saturday..

Surprise... keke

I had been cracking my head what birthday present to get for Hubby with the little budget of mine. I was wondering should I get him a ball point pen from Mont Blanc but it’s too pricey that for the time being I’m unable to afford, unlike the past. Then Shueling came to my mind. I was wondering if he will appreciate if I get him flowers. But with the advice from the expert, she said that it’ll be nicer if I get him a bottle of wine instead. So I heeded her advice and decided to get him that as for the pen, he will have to wait till I’ve got more spending power then.
I had made all the arrangements last night so today was just waiting for the gift to be delivered to my home. Come 1pm, I received a sms from Shueling that she had made the delivery personal but the only thing is that Hubby is not at home. He had gone downstairs to do something to his car. And she had saw Sherry too, she was so happy to see my little princess. Haha..
Hubby was very surprised that I’ve bought him a bottle of wine and got it delivered to our house. Haha.. He sms-ed me saying that “Wa you buy me wine huh”… keke… I think I really surprised him lei.. so happy.
The other surprise will be that he managed to get his COE for the new car on today too! The dealer had called him to inform him about this news and he is so happy. He keeps on saying that how can it be, they just try for the first time.. haha… Will I guess its just his birthday luck.
Well, I’m greedy, I just wished for the next surprise to be he striking the 4-D tonight. keke.. That will be triple surprise for him.. keke… *pray hard hard*

Happy Birthday Darling

Happy birthday to you
You are born in the zoo
Like a monkey like a donkey (I think more monkey den donkey)
Happy birthday to you…

HA HA HA HA!!!

Happy birthday, darling. Hope you would like the gift I sent you!

Lonely.. Missing u both..

Since yesterday was the dateline for me to finish my portion, today I’m have slight more time to chat & catch up with the gals. So long din chat with u gals, I really miss u all so much. But the person I missed most will be Kat (guess all of us are the same). Although she had just left for HK not long ago but it seems she has gone for a long time.
These few days because of the auditors I’ve not been able to meet Kat in the evening and now its worst. Kat is in HK this week, Jan has to rush home so it’s a lonely ride home without either one of them.. sob sob..
But the only time that I can look for to is that Sherry will be at the train station waiting for me with Hubby as he is on leave of the whole of this week. Had early dinner and then went to the Cold Storage to get some ham for breakfast as I’m tired of the food at China Square.
We left home around 8pm and reached home around 10pm. Sherry seems tired after the short shopping trip and feeding her the milk, she knocked off almost immediately. haha

Rushing Monday

This morning, in the train, I was being pushed by a skinny lady! She boarded the train at YT too and happened to meet a friend in the straight train to Pasir Ris. I was standing besides her while she was standing in front of her friend talking to her. When the lady sitting in front of me got up to alight at Bt Batok, she PUSHED her way through to sit down! I was not so pissed if she would have opened her golden mouth to say excuse me. I was holding on to the hand rails to balance myself and she has the cheek to push her way through that tiny space! Bearing in mind that I was carrying my laptop with me too, I really feel like scolding her ****!!!!! I stared so hard at her at she felt so pei seh that she had sat down there and the worst thing is that they both alighted at JE!!!!! It was only one stop away, do u need to push your way through!!!! Angry lei…!!!!
The auditors are still around and I did something nottie. I’ve passed all the files to them and asked them to look for their own samples. I’ve told them that I need to rush my month end closing and so they have to search for the documents themselves. Keke.
So I managed to finish my portion in time and now its over to KL for the manager to do his monthly reporting. Since, I’m done, left office around 630pm without Kat so lonely. Nowadays will be very difficult to meet Jan liao, cos she had sent Rayner to childcare and cannot be late if not there’ll be heavy penalty charged!
Hubby brought Sherry to the train station to wait for me. She’s so happy to see me and was laughing and playing while we are walking home. Hubby told me that he managed to make her sleep in her baby cot in the afternoon instead of the sarong. What an achievement! Keke..

Mum’s place

After Sherry had taken her porridge, we are all waiting for xiao mei to reach YT stn so that we can pick her up and went back home together.
When we reached mum’s place, the rest of the family are having their lunch at the coffee shop. Went to pack my lunch and went upstairs to have mine. While I’m having lunch, Pin looked after Sherry. Keke..
Sherry had lots of fun with her ‘po po’, ‘gong’ and the 2 ah yees. Haha… We were there till about 10 plus cos Mummy wants to watch the Star Awards. Keke. But my little princess was very tired around 945pm and she went to the bag and look for her pacifier den came to me and say, ‘mama, nor nor’.. keke
And of cos, she fell asleep on the way home. haha..

Shopping day

Since Mum & Dad had to attend a dinner today, we decided to go back on Sunday instead. So today, we just stayed home till after Sherry woke up from her nap.
I told Hubby that we should go to the Waterloo Street to visit the Goodness of Mercy temple and also at the same time to buy some ikan billis for Sherry’s porridge stock. When we were there, the shop that’s selling plenty of young kids’ clothes is opened. Yippie. Quickly went in to grab a dozen of long pants with booties and also a dozen of normal t-shirts for home wear.
After that we went to Peninsular Hotel as Hubby wanted to tailor some shirts. Sherry had a wonderful time running in and out of the shop. Keke… Luckily I did bring out some biscuits for Sherry to munch just in case she is hungry.
It was already 6 plus when we left the shop and by the time we are home, she is really hungry. She finished all the porridge so quickly. After playing awhile, she is in La La land.

Busy Wednesday till Friday

I was super busy from Wednesday straight till Friday due to the auditors. I don’t even have the time to go to the washroom and only managed to sneak in once a while to chat with the gals. (sorry dearies L)
This is the first time that I’ve got to stay till so late in the office. It was already 930pm when I left on Wednesday, so went back with Hubby. So when I was home, Sherry is already La La Land.
Come Thursday, I was so physically strained, so went back slightly early. Left office around 7pm but Sherry was also in La La Land when I was home. She slept through from 7pm till the next morning 7am.
I was planning that I would like to meet Kat before she went for her HK trip. But I was unable to escape from the auditors. They just keep on bugging me and I did not even have time for my DINNER! Only managed to leave office only around 930pm again. Since hubby is on leave and out for his D & D, I took a cab home and of cos, Sherry is already in La La Land! HOW I MISS MY PRINCESS! I’VE NOT SEEN HER FOR 3 DAYS LEI! HAIZ…

Normal Tuesday

I’m still busy with the auditors and also with my Finance Manager. I was helping him to print as he was not logged onto the Singapore network.
Busy like a bee and try to go back asap as Sherry still have some rashes and swelling on her arm.
After I’m home and see that she is able to play and lift up her hand as per normal, I felt a stone off my chest. We played for a little while and then, its already her bed time.

Slight Fever

Sherry seems alright the whole of yesterday. But I still worry that she may developed fever today, so I’ve decided not to go for Sue’s birthday celebration. (sorry dear).
Around lunch time, MIL called & said that she is running a slight fever so I told her to take out the medication from the fridge and give it to her later of the day.
After taking the medication, the fever seems to have gone down so I told MIL to observe her closely. Later she called me again, telling me that the injection place seems to have a little swollen that really worries me. Quickly checked with Jan about this and she told me that its norm but if it’s too big den have to go to the doctor.
Left office on the dot, and managed to meet Jan & Kat home. We yakked and yakked on the way home. As usual, Jan alighted at CCK while Kat & I carried on till YT.
She seems alright but just to be very sure, we gave another dosage of medication before her bedtime.

Sherry is 18 months today!

Today is the last jab for Sherry and the next one will be when she’s going into Primary school. How time files.
We went to Raffles Hospital around 10plus but of cos we are late as our appointment time is 11am. Sherry is now aware of everything around her so she is very caution about what is Dr Wong going to do. She had a little struggle and let out a little cry but overall, she still behaved well.
When we reached home, after giving her some porridge then she went to have her nap. It seems to be the longest nap for the two days, she took 4 hours straight. By the time, she wakes up, she seems better & no fever too but will still observes her for a couple of days.
Hubby sneaked out to sign up the new car when his princess was still having her nap. When I was trying to prepare porridge, luckily I managed to distract her by asking her to talk to her Yi Yi on the phone. And the both of them yakked and yakked until I’m done with the porridge.. haha..
Hubby came back around 7 plus of cos with a happy face and we worked out the sums again. So we’ll have to pay around $900 per month with a savings of only $100 with the new car. But we had save half a year of Road Tax and also another $2,600 rebate and hopefully, we can save a little bit more on petrol.
Cross my fingers lah, cannot back out liao, cos he already sign liao.

A few places to go

Since FIL had gone to USA, Hubby will be sending us to Mum’s place instead. But today instead of going there straight, we went to Angeline’s (hubby’s colleague) place to celebrate her son’s 2nd birthday.
First we send MIL to her friend’s place at Punggol then we proceed to Pasir Ris. When we arrived, some of his colleagues already left. We hang around for awhile to chat with the rest and left around 2 hours later. After we left, we went to the Mazda dealer shop @ MacPherson to see the Mazda 6. He had been describing a lot about the car but I still cannot figure out until I saw the car myself. No wonder he has been dying to buy the car besides the WRX. The car looks so cool, but of cos the priority will be paying lesser at the end of the day.
The last stop was at mum’s place and since she had skipped the afternoon milk feed, we decided to let her have the porridge earlier than usual. After she had her porridge, we let her have her nap and she only wakes up at around 7pm. Keke… (my little piglet). We left around 10 plus, so both mum & dad had spent at least around 3 hours with playing with her.
She did not sleep on the way home and even play a little at home before she went to bed.

SUPER GOOD NEWS!

My Controller has just given me a piece of wonderful news!

I’ll be converted to the permanent staff once the merger is done! But of cos it means that I’ll have a wider job scope which includes the AP portion.

Yippie!!! Hopefully they will also revised my pay package and which means I’ll have more spending power and may be Hubby can consider buying the new car.

And of cos the first few people that I’ve broken the news to are of cos my khakis… keke… I’ve just sms-ed Hubby but still no reply from him. Hmm…

Should we get the new car?

Ling : - The dealer had just called me again lei.
Me :- For?
Ling : - He mentioned that the offer still stands till this coming Saturday. Cos hor, the interest will increased on the coming Monday.
Me :- Hmm… Then may be we can work out the cost tonight lor.

Ling and me, go tap tap tap on our calculator…

Ling :- So how?
Me :- We save abt $1K per year. May be be able to consider lah, right? Shall we
discuss this tonight?
Ling :- Ok lor..

So now I’m still very unsure if we should get the new car just because of the $1K savings per year. But of cos in the year to come, it will be slightly more as the insurance will be decreasing unless, there is no hiccup.
And of cos the car will be the Mazda 6 2.3 litres one lah...

Later than usual.

Today although, I leave on the dot to meet Jan & Kat home, I still reached home later than usual. We had all alighted at CCK instead. I wanted to go there to look for the mugs, get dinner and also to buy breakfast.
So when the power of 3 resume, the yakking just goes on & on. We parted with Jan at the control station and dear Kat went to Lot 1 with me. But we had combed through almost all the gift shops in the mall and still unable to get the ones we wanted! So buddies, u gals have to wait liao.
Since we are unable to find the mugs, we went to the open space outside the mall got some books for our gals, then we hopped on the feeder bus 302. I alighted at YT station while Kat carried on her journey home.
When I was home, Sherry pretended to be asleep on MIL’s lap. Keke.. That girl has been showing little tricks everyday. After showering, went to play with her before I went to cook my Maggie mee as my dinner. After that, it was already closed to bedtime for Sherry.
As the night falls, the routine begins. But tonight, it’s gonna be a late night as I needed to work after Hubby is back to oversee Sherry. And by the time when I’m done, it was already past midnight. Time to sleep…

Star flying day

Today was an early start of a working day. After sending FIL off at the airport, Hubby sends me to work.
Slogged through the whole day with the GST adjustments soon, it’s almost 530pm.
I’ve try so hard to keep myself awake and so I would seriously need someone to go back with me as I do not want to oversleep in the train. Since I’m leaving on the dot, Jan need to rush to Lot 1 NTUC to get some milk, and it’ll be too rush for Kat to meet us. We decided to go back with Kat. (Sorry buddy). So as usual, Jan was there waiting for me and we just keep yakking till we reached CCK. She alighted while I carried on for another stop.
It was raining at YT so I quickly sms Kat to tell her to go to CCK interchange to catch the feeder instead as it was very crowded at YT. When I was home, Hubby & Sherry were downstairs waiting for me. But we did not meet, so after settling down at home, I went down to find them. And the first few questions were, how come we din see you? Where you come back from? Who send you home??? haha… my Hubby mad liao... Who send me home, the MRT lah! Where I come back from, the MRT station! How come, cos we must have missed each other! Silly Hubby… keke
Tonight is also the first time that MIL sat down to have dinner with us. I guess it must be because; she does not want to have much leftover as FIL is not home. After dinner, spend some time with Sherry before her bed time and once she is in La La land, Mummy also get ready for bed. It was around 10 plus that all of us are in dreamland. Keke

Departure!

Today is the day that FIL is going to USA for a month. So woke up at 5am to get ready the routine stuffs before leaving the house.
As expected, we are the earliest to reach the airport. We waited for the rest to arrive. After checking in the luggage, we went for a drink at Coffee Bean. At this point in time, Felicia still asking if she can be excused of trip, she still looks pretty upset. So I told her that she’ll be able to come to my place for a short stay after her return in a month’s time.
They had to go in by 815am and we all leave for work. I was thinking that since Hubby still on mc, he should go back home to rest, but it was so nice of him to send me to work. So I was not very late after all. But I’m very very tired after the torturing night!

SHOCK OF MY LIFE!

The doctor had given Hubby 2 day’s mc for his fever. Since he was at home, it was planned that he’ll come & pick me before sending MIL to Hyatt to attend a wedding dinner. But this plan was called off as Hubby was still feeling very giddy due to the medication.
MIL had left before I reached home. In fact she had just left the house and she left Sherry in the playpen while Hubby just needs to oversee her. After our dinner, while I was playing with Sherry, Hubby went to have another dosage of the medication, which was so drowsy that he went to bed almost immediately. So I just spend the time playing with Sherry instead.
FIL came back while I was preparing Sherry for her bed time. In awhile, both of us were in La La Land. Here comes the shock.
Since Hubby had not fully recovered from the fever, I suggested to him that he should not be sleeping in the aircon room. So I left him sleeping in the Master bedroom with just fan and thinking to myself that MIL can sleep in the study room.
When MIL returned, she came into the room (remember I was sleeping den), standing by the bed and asked me some questions. Like so how, know the flight number already or not, what time are you leaving the house! I was so tired, that I just told her, don’t know lah, & turned away to sleep. TO MY SURPRISE, she did not leave the room; instead she climbed onto the other side of the bed and sleep!!! SO I WAS SLEEPING WITH MY MIL THROUGHOUT THE NIGHT!!
When I realized that, I did not even have a good night rest. I keep waking up in the middle of the night and of cos feeling very uncomfortable. I did not want to leave the room as I do not want to give her the opportunity to revert the sleeping position with Sherry again! So out of no choice, I just have to bear with it! But the night seems so long, finally it’s already 5am and there goes my alarm and it’s really time for me to wake up!
IT’S A TORTURING NIGHT!!!

Hubby is sick

Hubby was running a fever so give him two panadol pills and ask him to go to bed. Around 3am, he woke up shivering, so he decided to go out to sleep on the sofa. Poor Hubby must be very sick, and I’ve asked him to take another two pills before sleeping outside.
This morning, had told him not to go to work. This is not joking matter and he must be feeling awful that he decided to go to the doctor instead. But I’m also worried that the virus may spread to Sherry, so quickly called MIL to give her more Vit C today.
Hopefully, he’ll recover tomorrow so that he can send FIL to the airport.

Mum’s place

Since we had to stay at home for dinner yesterday, had changed my schedule to mum’s place today. FIL send both me & sister back home.
It’s the same old routine lah, sleep, walking around disturbing everyone including those sleeping, feeding time, continue walking, playing and then had her porridge and then carry on playing.. Kekeke
After having our dinner, we decided to leave home as the next day is the start of the new working week and Hubby is not feeling good too.
That girl knocks out on the way home and so is mummy… keke…

Happy Lunar Birthday, Hubby

Today is Hubby’s lunar birthday and since FIL will be flying to US on next Tuesday, MIL decided to call everyone back for a dinner get together. She started by going to the market to get all the ingredients for the dinner.
While she was busy with all these, I just continue to cook Sherry’s porridge. After her porridge Sherry went to have her nap, I was also managed to have a power nap... keke...
While Hubby went to Mazda authorized dealer @ Bukit Timah to discuss in depth about the new Mazda 2.3 and at the same time he’ll be getting the Boon Tong Kee chicken rice for me.
MIL started to prepare dinner at around 4 plus 5, and the time coincides with the porridge preparation time again. But this time, while cooking the porridge, I still managed to help her out. But we only managed to start to have our dinner at around 8pm as the guest of honour is still not here. We are all waiting for BIL and his wife to arrive. It seems that they are always late for everything even reunion dinner! I was a little pissed off by their time management. Everyone has to wait for them to start almost every dinner.
After showing an unhappy face to Hubby, he said that to start the dinner first. Guess what, BIL was at my place only at 9pm. Can you imagine, 9pm! OMG!!! We already finished our dinner long time ago before he arrives. And yes, he comes alone, saying that his wife’s exams coming so unable to join in.
But Sherry had a great time playing with BIL and she was so tired that she knocks out immediately after she had her milk.

A little sad Friday

Today is Dollin’s last day with the company. As she was not given the portfolio that she had proposed and of cos due to the re-structuring, her contract was not being renewed. Since the announcement of the merger, there are lots of changes. Lots of people had resigned and also lots of re-structuring going on. I’m also not sure if the rest of the people are reading too much or is there something that I’m not aware of! All these really make me worry. I’m still hopeful that they are able to convert me into a permanent staff, but all these will only finalized when the merger ends around the end of the year.
Since it’s her last day, we went to have lunch with her and it was quite a long lunch. And around 4 plus she mentioned that she would like to go window shopping with me before going back home. So I had to change my plans of going back with Jan to go out with her. After browsing a little while, we went off to take the train home. I alighted at JE and she carried on till Boon Lay.
When I was home, after showering, brought Sherry down to the drive way to wait for Hubby and in awhile, we hopped into his car and went into the carpark. Keke… Such a short trip to the carpark can also let Sherry excited for awhile. Keke

Busy Thursday

I’m still busy with the GST adjustments; think it’ll take quite a long while for me to complete all. There are 8 quarters for me to look through! It was right back till Q3 2003. Yup 2003! They had got all the report wrong so since I’m in-charge of GST reporting, it’ll be better for me to put the things right!
Of cos, I did not miss out the daily chat with the khakis.. keke.. Today Kat had gone to Benoi Sector warehouse for stock take, and we all miss her even its just a day. All of us just seems so tidy up with our work and are pretty quiet compare to the past. Careen is still busy issuing those 3000 old invoices (of cos there are still daily work), Jan is busy packing to get ready for the renovation work starting soon. Irene is still very busy as she had just gone back to work after her long hospitalization leave whereas YL is forever busy with bugs & virus… haha…
Other than the above, I still managed to leave around 545pm to meet Jan at the usual place. We continued yakking till CCK interchange where Jan alighted to meet her ah lao. After I alight from the train, I went to Guardian to get the calcium tablets and a few more stuffs. I felt that it’s time for me to take some supplements as I really cannot afford to be sick because of my little princess.
As the time passes by, the rest of the night is just a routine for the rest of us. Shower, dinner, prepare Sherry to bed, making milk, feeding and then she knock off even before Daddy is home.

At last, for once!

Today as Kat is able to leave office early, we had arranged to meet up. It has been a long while ever since the 3 of us are able to go back together.
As I was walking to the train station to meet Jan, I was greeted by the loudest thunder that I’ve heard in my life. I was so worried that one of them may just hit either people or any trees along the way.
As usual, Jan is the earliest and she came out and window shop around Raffles Place while waiting for me. When we met, we browse around for a little while before we proceed to the meet Kat at Outram. Since Jan’s ah lao will be working late, she does not need to rush to CCK interchange to meet him, in turn, we do not need to rush. So quickly tell Kat about this so that she can take her time to meet us.
Once we met, we just yak non stop and all of us will be alighting at YT instead. Jan went to buy dinner, Kat & I went to NTUC. It was also raining and after getting what we wanted Kat walked home instead of taking the feeder bus as it was very crowded at the bus stop.
Sherry was playing when I’m home but she did not greet me as she was waiting for her Daddy and not Mummy. *so sad*. MIL had brought her downstairs to wait for her Daddy while I can have my dinner in peace. After all these, the rest are the same and she knock out around 9 plus as she did not have her afternoon nap.

One week ago…

I had total forgotten to blog this down on the day but since was I was mentioning to Kat last evening. I decided to bring this up again.
Exactly one week ago, I had coincidentally met Hubby at the Far East Square Food Museum during lunch time. This is the first time that I’ve met him since working here for about 6 months. So being me, I was so happy to see him went up to acknowledge him. He was sitting inside so I was standing opposite him to say hi. But to my surprised, he just gave me an expressionless face! He looked at me as though he does not know me at all. At that moment I was pretty upset about it. I was thinking to myself that he must have been too shock to see me appearing right in front of his eyes, irregardless, I still say good bye before I went off to find my colleagues.
But while queuing up for food, the thought just hit me, how come he gave me such an expression? How come he did not acknowledge me? How come he just sat there? That is so strange! On the other hand, I was comforting myself that he must have been in shock and does not know how to react. But, but, but …..
Anyway, before he left for office, he gave me a sms saying that “so coincident hor, will be going back to office liao”. That’s all he said after such a long while and he takes so long to say this too... Hmm... Is it because he’s feeling pei seh to acknowledge me or its just that he does not how to react. I really don’t know. May be I’m just reading too much into thoughts. Probably he needs time to react.
But anyway, in future if I were to see him again, may be I shall not acknowledge him so fast, wait for him to make the first move. In order to save some ‘face’… hai…

Tired Tuesday

Due to the interrupted sleep in the night, I was still feeling very tired! But since I’ve cleared all my work, it’s time for me to start working on the wrongly reported GST from 2003.
After lunch, went to the store to dig out all the relevant files and started working on them. It took me so long to finish one month as I need to check through every single payment voucher against what had been reported. I’ll then make adjustment on the spot. All these are very taxing on my eyes. Luckily I’m wearing my specs instead of my lenses. I think I’ll be wearing specs until I’m done with all the adjustments in order not to strain my eyes.
Although, Kat had been very busy, we still managed to meet to go back home. But before I went to meet her, I left office early for a short shoe shopping trip; unfortunately, I did not manage to get another. That is so sad! After meet Kat, we yakked all the way home and in no time, we had reach JE to change the train. In another short while, we reached YT. Since Sherry was not at the station, we went for shop hopping. Finally, I’ve made up my mind to get the black shirt but they only left with the display piece. So I left the shop empty handed. Next stop was at Guardian pharmacy, browse around, this time; Kat bought 1 pack of tibits. The final stop was at the NTUC. Since we had nothing to buy in mind, the both of us just walk aimlessly in the store. I left after walking 1 round while Kat was still there waiting for her ah lao.
Sherry ran to me when I reached home, not forgetting that she called me along the way.. keke… so sweet… Quickly went to have my shower and dinner and then carry out my routine work with that little princess.

One week later…

One week from now, on the 22nd November, FIL will be traveling to USA with Felicia, Leonard gor gor, their ah ma & ah gong. They should be on the 1st flight to LA @ 945am and I’m still not sure if I’ll be going to the airport with Hubby or not.
Anyway, I’ll miss FIL as he is the one who had been sending me to Mum’s place weekly and without him may means that I may not be able to go mum’s place so early every week.
I bet Sherry will also miss him, although she may not know how to express herself well. Everyday, it’s FIL that bring her down from her high chair after her lunch. Even though, on certain days, which he may have leave for work, she will still call for her ‘Ye Ye’! At times when he has not woken up, she will also goes into his room to wait him up to play with her.
Well, just hope that he will enjoy himself while he was there.

Early morning….

Suddenly around 2am, my stomach aches so badly that I could not sleep. So went to the washroom and had diarrhea. After I’m done, I was thinking that I could just go to sleep. But I was unable to doze off, as my sleep had been interrupted. Hai…
I dare not tossed and turn and also dare not make too much noise in order not to wake both Sherry and Hubby up, so I just lie on the bed waiting to sleep. Around 4am, I wake up again! And again it the same ache! So went to the toilet again. After I’m done, I went to the kitchen to look for some medications but was unable to find any. So went to bed again hoping that I’ll not have the attack again. Luckily it did not occur again.
In no time, the alarm went off, its 630am and a new day has begun! And it was so sweet of Hubby to ask if I need to go to the doctor due to my tummy problem. But told him its ok and we both went to get ready for work.

Another Birthday Celebration

Tonight will be going for Lena’s birthday celebration so had planned to go off early so that I would be able to have a short shopping spree before heading to the venue.
My main purpose is to search for either shoes or clothes. But nothing nice had caught my eyes. I’ve been shopping for shoes for the longest time in history and still unable to get a single pair.
I was the second earliest so had a brief chat with Andy’s sister, Queenie. We were just chatting about kids and nothing but kids as she was a teacher back in HK. We started our dinner when the birthday girl was here and did not even wait for the rest. It was quite an enjoyable evening and it’s like the good old days chatting and yakking. But of cos the feeling is kind of different. They just give me a different kind of feel compare to the msn khakis. May be the topics are so wide and not as personalized as compared to those we had been chatting everyday. Yes, I do miss those days but of cos it’s nothing comparable to the happiness that my Sherry has been giving me. Keke…
As usual, I’m the earliest to leave, I’m meeting Hubby at 930pm at DFS. I’ll just do a little walking, to save the trouble of making some many turns. Sherry was already in bed when we both reached home.

Hot & Stuffy Sunday

We had plans for the day but we did not carried out any, so we just stayed at home.
Around 4pm, Hubby wanted to go to Lot 1 to Mister Minit. He wanted to put on the rubber sole for his newly bought shoes. So we decided to take the train instead of driving. After leaving the shoes there, we went to Lot 1 for a little shopping trip.
We had bought some bread for breakfast and a piece of cake for Sherry to snack. We also brought her to the library to browse some books to pass time. But since the guy mentioned that it’ll take around 2 to 3 hours, we went home first to let Sherry has her porridge.
After her porridge, Hubby decided to drive there to collect his shoes and then we’ll proceed to the Econ minimart near Kat’s place to buy Gain IQ. But there is not stock for the 1.8kg so out of no choice, we settled for the 900g instead.
Since, Sherry did not have her nap in the afternoon, we just let her laze around in her playpen before we settled her for bedtime around 9 plus.

Short stay @ Mum’s place

Left for mum’s place at the usual time and also went to pick sister up from her centre. After that we went to Hougang Mall, arranged for xiao mei to come over to have lunch. We settled for Delifrance and Sherry had a fun time, eating bread and drawing on the rough paper.
We walked home after lunch. Mum was already asleep, but this naughty girl, went to wake her up. Keke… But when Mum was awake, Sherry fell asleep in a little while. So the three of us spend the time chatting whereas xiao mei went to have her nap.
By the time Sherry woke up, it was about time for us to go to Hubby’s cousin’s house to celebrate auntie’s birthday. It’s not just any birthday celebration, as auntie is still in coma. May be she’s aware of all these, may be she does not at all… We do not know at all. Poor auntie had been like this for almost a year… It must have been hard for Uncle Dennis, all these while.
Anyway, we left around 10plus, and of cos we sent Felicia and her mum back first. Sherry fell asleep after Felicia left. When we were home, Sherry managed to finish 120ml of milk before she really went to La La land.

End of Work Week…

Nothing much happened in the office as I’m also done with my work. I’m just processing some claims and also some adhoc things given by another Manager.
Today is also the fire drill day. But all of us are still working when the alarm went off. All of us are still waiting for the announcement of the drill but there wasn’t any, cos the PA system was down. All of us were joking that if it’s the real, we would have been dead... keke... After the drill, some of us went for an unofficial coffee break. It was already 4 plus when we are back in the office.
Since Kat will be going for her D& D tonight, and Jan’s friend is sending her home, all of us go back separately. I left office around 6pm and totally forgot that MIL is going out! When I was home, quickly have my shower so that she’ll be able to leave the house. After shower, was thinking of waiting for hubby so brought Sherry down to the playground. We had a great time and also managed to meet Hubby at the drive way.
We had our dinner while Sherry watched her VCD. When it was around 9 plus, the routine begins… keke…

Happy Birthday to You, Sweet Car & Little Calista

Happy Birthday to u.
Happy Birthday to u.
Happy Birthday to u - u.

Quiet Thursday

Today is another quiet day without Careen. This girl had been sick since yesterday and even had an asthma attack while waiting at the polyclinic. She was suffering from the lost of the voice and a very bad tooth she said. Her tooth had been giving her problem for quite awhile but she claimed that she has no time to go to the dentist, and now, see what the bad tooth had done! It had given her a swollen face!
Since, Kat is going to her MIL’s place to see the new TV; I’ve arranged to meet Jan at the usual place at the usual time. But for once, she was late cos she went to buy dinner. Don’t worry, dear; don’t be sorry, I’ll wait for you. The MRT just seems to be flying pass the station if there’s a company home. In a while, we are at JE station and in another short while, we are at CCK while Jan had alighted while I carried on till YT.
It was only 635pm when I reached the station. As it was drizzling, I don’t think that MIL will bring Sherry out so I went to the shops to buy my own stuffs. Sherry was playing and walking around when I was home.
Quickly settled down, shower, dinner and then spend some quality time with the girl before she went to bed.

MRT Ride

MIL had to attend a wedding dinner tonight, so in order for me not to rush, she had arranged FIL to send her to Novena MRT, to meet me at the same time to pick up her friends.
Since, I’m very confused as to where to meet them; I was at the venue pretty early. To my surprised, it was so packed with lots of people, heard from the PA system that it’s something to do with the SEA Games participants. So I went to walk around at the 1st floor and then went to the taxi stand outside the building to wait for them.
Oh yes, that funny MIL told me a different story of where to wait for them and it turn out to be the taxi stand outside the building. Why can’t she tell me straight away! She told me, it’s the bus stop that is facing the Newton Circle, coming down from Novena church. She told me lots of directions but I still don’t know where she is talking about! OMG!!! It such a simple venue but she is so smart to complicate things. Hai…
Anyway, it was raining and there was a bad traffic jam. So quickly call Hubby and told him not to come and pick us. Instead, I’ll bring Sherry to Clarke Quay to meet him. So after picking Sherry, we had fun taking the MRT from Novena to Clarke Quay. I can tell that she had enjoyed the ride very much… Kekeke…
It was also raining at Clarke Quay, so Hubby had gone back to bring an umbrella and was late. After meeting him, we had a walk in the rain (with an umbrella, of cos) to the Riverside Point and hopped into his car and off we go.
The rest of the night is just a routine enjoying our quality time with Sherry. Keke...

Meeting Kat day

It has seems like quite a long while since I had met Kat home. We only meet on last Monday and the following days are either I’m on leave or she is going to her MIL’s place. Then this Monday, she had to attend a wake, and hence unable to meet me.
Today is just a normal day and passed as usual. Time passes quite quickly so soon it’s already almost time to go back. I’ve decided to leave on the dot to go for shoes shopping, but there isn’t any luck. All the designs I fancy do not have my size so sad. Guess I may have either go to other outlet or may be have to go for other brands. Keke….
While waiting for her at the usual place, I saw some one running towards me, and its Kat… Kekeke doing her signature run for MRT…. As usual, we just yakked all the way home and she also met Sherry at the station. She had decided to walk home when she saw the crowd at the bus stop. So all of us cross the overhead bridge and we parted when we reached the other side of the road.
The rest of the night is the same routine repeating day after day.

Meeting of the Guest Star!

Since Kat is attending a wake and I’m able to leave on the dot, I’ve arranged to meet Jan at the usual place @ 550pm. It has been a long while that either Kat or me meet Jan home. So once the both of us met, we just yakked all the way home, and in no time we are already at CCK.
The both of us are going to Lot 1 NTUC to get some stuff for our kids. I’m going there to get the Nepia pull ups before the promotion ends this coming Wednesday. When we reached the NTUC, we spilt up to get our stuff and meet again to pay at the cashier. After that we proceeded to CCK interchange to take bus 302 and as mentioned by Jan, 302 had changed its berth. Hmmm… luckily I’m there with Jan if not I think I’ll be so lost cos I’m so used to take the train home from CCK. Keke…
When I’m home, Sherry was having her nap after her dinner but she woke up will I was having my shower. MIL mentioned that she had only napped for half and hour. So quickly settled my dinner and spent some time reading to her in the room. Then follow on with the usual routine of cleaning and settling her in bed.

Not so busy Monday

My Manager is so happy that we are able to close the Oct 05 books ahead of the dateline. Since he had forwarded the other report to me so I just consolidated and passed on to the other Consulting Manager, and he was so happy that we are able to accomplish the monthly report ahead of the dateline given by the customer.
But as it’s still the beginning of the month, the rest of the khakis are still busy with their work, so we did not chat much. As usual, Careen went to HQ for meeting around lunch time, which only left the 3 of us, Kat, Jan & me.
Time passes pretty slowly for me and soon it’s already 530pm, time to meet the guest star!

Homely Sunday

Today, it’s just a normal Sunday. We just stayed at home as Daddy is tired after the last night.
We had decided not to go to my uncle’s house @ Pasir Ris for dinner. I’ve ransacked the fridge to look for things to cook and managed to found some stuff. So instead of traveling so far to the east, we just have a simple meal at home.
Around 8 plus, we are all in the room, playing and enjoying ourselves in the bedroom. Sherry only knocked out around 10pm and the both of us joined her in a short while.

Gathering day...

Today is Lynn’s baby’s first month celebration. We all left after Sherry had her porridge. It was already around 2pm when we reached there and oh my goodness, there are so many people in the pavilion. This lady really has plentiful of friends! Hang around till around 3pm and we left.
In the night, there is a pot luck gathering at my house. The relatives came around 6 plus. The kids enjoyed themselves as much as the adults did! But I think the 2 people that had enjoyed the most will be my little Sherry & Felicia. The both of them are so happy to see each other. Even Sherry had not seen Felicia for so long; she did not even forget her. I think she must be very closely bonded with her since she was inside me. The both of them played and enjoyed each other’s company.
It was around 10pm that Sherry had gone to bed. And the rest of them left around 11pm. I stayed up till 12am to watch ‘Anna and the King’ but did not managed to finish the show as I’m too tired, whereas Daddy was in dreamland since 11 plus. Keke…

Wet Friday

Today I’m back to work! It’s such a rainy day and I’ve to take train and carry that heavy laptop to work. Hubby said that he is tired and also lazy to drive me. I’m so angry with him.
But anyhow, it’s was only 815am when I reached Raffles Place, went to Macs to get myself an Egg McMuffin for my breakfast. By the time I settle down to have breakfast and read my emails, it was already almost 9am.
Kat & Careen are both late guess must be the weather is too good to leave the bed! Keke… Today will be the start of the rush hour and so will not have so much time to yak with the khakis.. Sorry dearies.

Working PH

I’m supposed to work on Tuesday night but because I’ve accidentally locked my own ID. So when it has been unlocked and I was unable to do on Wednesday, I’ve to issue all the invoices today.
So will only be going to Mum’s place in the evening and Hubby looks after Sherry while I was running and issuing the invoices.
We stayed at Mum’s place till about 10pm and Sherry had not even shows the slightest sign of being tired. But when we are home, she begins to be a little cranky as it has already long past her bedtime. After a little coaxing, she finished all her milk and the next minute, she is already in La La Land.

Happy Birthday to ME!

Thanks to all the friends for all the birthday wish. Today I’m on leave to enjoy the day myself.
First stop, The Ultimate spa for a body massage. But I felt that I was cheated. The lady quoted me $68 less 35% discount but when I reached there, the price is so different. It’s $180 less 35%!! I was so angry that I told them that they had spoilt my birthday and insisted that they give me an explanation. So they came back and tell me that they will throw in a ginger tummy mask as complimentary (which cost $80). Ok lah, did not want to spoil my day further, I just carry on as planned.
Second stop, went to meet Crystal for a couple of hours before I went to Hilton Hotel to check out the prices of the Gucci wallet. Now I’m still thinking if I should get the long or short ones. Before going for my pedicure, I went into Esprit to get myself a singlet as the shirt that I’m wearing seems to be too low cut!
Third stop went to Good Earth Nails Spa for my pedicure & express manicure. The service is not as good as I expected and so will not recommend much.
Final stop Merchant Court Hotel, dinner with Hubby and after that went home around 9 plus.
Sherry was already asleep and after showering, soon, we are also in La La land.

Deepavali Day

Today, almost everyone in the family except the kids has to go and light candle for the grandparents.
When I was trying to let Sherry have a nap, Hubby called and said that his cousin had already make reservation for us to join them for Dim Sum. Quickly packed Sherry stuff, tell her that we are going out and mummy has to bathe so she has to stay in the playpen and she seems to understand me. Keke..
Hubby came and pick us around 10am and by the time we reached home, it was already 12plus. Sherry had already knocked out on the way back. I was thinking that may be she’ll wake up in a short while but it does not seem like it. Quickly called Jan and tell her that I’ll not be able to join them at YL’s place as Sherry still taking her nap and had not taken her lunch too. (So sorry YL and Jan)
After her lunch, she seems tired and we put her to nap again and she only wakes up around 6pm which we have to call off our shopping trip to Taka so we just spend the evening at home.

Super Short Working Week

This is the shortest working week as I’ve also granted myself another day off on Wednesday.
Today is Monday but feels like Friday cos tomorrow is a PH (but still no sleeping in for me). As I’m going on leave on Wednesday that means that my rush hour had started earlier.
As usual, work & yak at the same time. Meet Kat home around the same time too, continue to yak all the way home.
Sherry was going for her evening walk, when I met her downstairs. I went back home, have a quick shower and dinner. But she came back before I’m done with my shower.
Evening passed as usual, play n read with her before her bedtime. She did not managed to wait for Daddy to come back & she is already in La La land.

Parking - $7.50?

After Sherry’s afternoon nap, we had decided to go to Taka, cos Hubby wanted to buy his shoes. We had gone to Waterloo Street before we went to Taka.
We were happily shopping and that little girl knows that MIL is with us, she begins to throw her temper. I just bring her away while she was wailing; Hubby said that I was behaving like a mad woman. SO ANGRY LEI! But not wanting to create a scene, so I just keep quiet. But I’m very sure that Sherry will not behave like this if MIL is not around! Hai!
After we had bought his shoes, we went for coffee at Coffee Bean before we went home. Sherry was enjoying the cheese cake and also the scones too. When we left Taka, the parking cost was $7.50! And we had a shock that is so expensive to park there but no choice!
Sherry did not sleep on the way home, so we diverted to Beauty World to take a look at the Mazda car. After awhile, we left and when we reached home, Sherry fell asleep after her bath. We brought her into her room around 10pm and she finished a bottle of milk before she carried on with her sleep. keke… little piglet..

Mum’s place.

Hubby had sent MIL to her friend’s place with Sherry while I stayed at home to cook her porridge. Looks like daddy is unable to handle his little princess on the way back, he was so stress when he came back.
After feeding Sherry the porridge, we went to mum’s place in FIL’s taxi. We both slept on the way there and there was no one home when we arrived. I managed to set up the sarong and put her down to rock. But this naughty girl make mummy rock her for like an hour before she finally knock off.
Mum had cooked some porridge for dinner and we really enjoyed it although it’s a simple meal. We left home early this week cos they need to go to the eldest uncle’s house for dinner and dad forbid as he is not happy with the way that stupid n unreasonable uncle is treating me. To me, it’s more than wonderful not to go, and would not be bothered what others will say.
No one was home and we quickly settled down Sherry to bed and so both of us can have an early night as Hubby was very tired after washing his precious car.

TGIF!!

Today is just a normal working day. But my rush hour had started early as I’ll be taking leave on Wednesday to have a longer holiday.
As usual, we are multi-tasking, yakking and working at the same time. Today will not be meeting any one of the ladies home as Jan has to rush home, Kat will be going to her MIL’s place.
Hubby had taken the morning half day off as he was given time off in the afternoon as he works last Saturday. Since he has the day off, I told him that I’ll go to work by MRT and if he goes out, he will come n pick me. He had decided to go and test drives the Mazda 6 at 2 showrooms. One of them had quoted him a better deal than the other. But he had not made up his mind on whether to go for power or comfort.
He came n pick me around 545pm and by 630pm I’m already home. Quickly go, have my shower before I settle down to have dinner with hubby. We are still discussing about the new car deals. I’m of cos more than happy if he can compromised on the Mazda 6 as we can save around $2,200 comparing to the REX. But still, it’s still up to him to come to terms with it. MIL had gone out to the old neighbor’s house which means that we managed to have some time together as a family.
After playing for a while, it’s bed time for Sherry. After settling and feeding her, she rolls about on the bed and in a while, she is in La La Land. And so is mummy and in awhile, daddy too…

27th October 2005

Today, RayAnne is 20 months old and Sherry is 17 months old. These two girls are just 3 months apart. And both mummies did not know each other until we both joined the Bayb Forum. It should say that fate has brought us together.
All these started with me browsing the forum, and found Jan who is also staying at YT. Me being very kaypo, I went to IM her and intro myself. It was there n then, we became the best of friends and slowly, our chat started to grow. More and more mummies started to join in the fun. Now we have 7 of us in the group. It’s so fun and kind of unusual to have such friendship at this age.
It was not long that we realized that our little princess is just 3 months apart. Keke… so there is no way that I’ll forget RayAnne’s birthday! Keke
Well… girls… have a fun time and enjoy the day..

Normal Wednesday

Nothing much happened except that we are all slightly more busy than usual which means we did not chat as much as before.
Since Jan’s mil had left of China on Monday, her mummy is helping her to look after the 2 Rays, which means, she’ll rush home to relieve her mummy, but that also means that she’ll have nice smelling Rays and return to a neater home too. So happy for her, at least she does not need to work herself out so much.
Kat was supposed to have an annual body check up but because for her ‘auntie’ visiting her, she has to postpone it. So we still meet to go back home. But instead of going back, we went to Chinatown as Kat mentioned that there was a shop that is having sales and selling everything at 3 for $10. She did not manage to see much over lunch time so we went back again. But we did not see anything we like. They are either too small or too thick for our weather. So we went home empty handed.
It was around 730pm, when I reached home and Sherry was having her nap. But she woke up when I was having my shower. Quickly settle my dinner so that I could spend some time with her before she goes to bed again. We had so much fun that she almost refused to go to bed. But after much persuasion, she agreed. The only condition is that she wants to follow me to the kitchen to make milk.
After her milk, she still keen to play with me but after I told her that it was already very late and it’s already almost 10pm, we should all go to sleep. She seems to understand and soon, she is in La La Land.

A Sad Tuesday!

Today is a very sad day. We had done something that we should not have and the 3 of us are feeling very down because of this. Although, we had apologized and decided to let bygones be bygones but it just not easy to do so.
We are all still filled with guilt and the day had just passed with sadness.

Dear, I’m still very sorry, although, you did not want us to say that anymore, but I being me will still say. Hope that all this unhappiness that we had caused will just go with the wind and also hope all these will not hinder our friendship. We know our mistake liao hope you really can forgive us! We are most willing to do something silly to make you feel better, just let us know; we definitely do it, without hesitation!

Thousands apologies!!!

I think I’ve carried the joke to far this time. I’m so sorry that I did not think of the consequences before doing that. It was just meant to be a little surprise but it turns out otherwise, which had really upset my day.
Friend, I really did mean to intrude into the privacy and I’m really very sorry about the hurt that I’ve caused!!! Come to think of it, I’m so silly to have done such a nonsensical thing!
I know, whatever I say will be too late now, but please accept my sincere apologies to you.

SORRY! SORRY! SORRY! SORRY! SORRY! SORRY! SORRY! SORRY! SORRY!

Different Thoughts on different Meet Up.

Tonight I’m meeting AL’s group for dinner. It has been a long time since we last meet up, although, it was only the 6 of us instead of the usual 9. But it’s feels so different from the Sunday’s gathering at Jan’s place.
Sunday’s meet up was all about kids, kids and still kids but last evening the topic was mostly on HIM! It really makes me feels like a young girl again. But, on the other hand, I’ve got mixed feelings about this.
I dare to say out loud that in fact I enjoyed myself more on Sunday’s meet up than last evening. Was it because that I’ve missed out a lot of meeting and the feeling is not the same any more? It’s kind of a wired feeling which I’m unable to put into words.
I guess, I’m now more into motherhood and baby talk more than talking or discussing about AL. Although, he still has a position in me but it’s just not the same anymore. Probably, Sherry has taken up a bigger position and so life is never the same again!
But anyhow, I still did enjoyed the time with them and I’m also looking forward to meeting them again, and this time hopefully, I can bring my little princess along.

Should I support his dream car?

Hubby had an appointment to test drive a car at the Subaru’s showroom at around 1130am and would be back in time to send us to Jan’s place.
He had mentioned that he’ll be test driving the Legacy but I had a feeling that he’ll be also test driving his dream car WRX, and which he DID!!! After all these, he went to Jan’s place around 3 plus to meet us.
During dinner, we had a brief discussion about this issue. I’m pretty sure that Rex is the car he wanted very badly. It’ll cost us around $800 plus per month of the installment which is cheaper than the present $991. But the only disadvantage is that the yearly insurance is slightly higher than now, but the road tax will be the same.
I’ve told him that if he really wants the Rex, he will have to cut down on any modifications and I also took the opportunity to tell him that I’m not keen to have another baby. But he just shh me off. Hai… what makes him think that we can have another one? I’m very sure that he wants that car very much. His eyes sparkle when we talked about the Rex and of cos he kept telling me he’s still considering to have ‘Power’ or ‘Comfort’. But I’m very sure that he would prefer ‘Power’ so had been telling him no need to think so hard liao, just go and make a decision. I’m very sure that he will not fall in love with any other car. I even told him, his love for the Rex and the same as my love for my dear AL, it’s comparable!
Should I leave this to him? I’m quite sure that he already had made up his mind at the fist place. And test driving another car will be just to prove that the Rex is still better. How? Hmm...

Happy Birthday Rayner!

Today is the birthday party for Rayner. We had arranged to meet at Jan’s place around 2 plus and we were the earliest although, we had gone there by bus. We were there around 230pm, next was Careen with Lui, Kat around arrived around 3 plus with Shannon after the cake cutting session while YL was the latest with her hubby and Calis. SL & Irene did not manage to make it. Irene was still on hospitalization leave, and SL was still having her cough so she did not want to pass the bug to the rest.
When we were there, Careen & I settled ourselves in the kids’ room while the rest of the crowd was in the living room. Jan, I must say that your house are really very child safe! How I wish my house is like this! But this is definitely impossible cos I have my PIL staying with me and their things are more than mine!
After the cake cutting session, we were guessing who our dear Jan’s MIL is. But when Jan wanted us to guess, both Careen and I hit the jackpot! She was the one in the orange stripe T-shirt! She had been giving us the feeling until we had the confirmation from Jan! Believe us, gals; she really looks like what our dear Jan had described! She really fit every single thing that Jan had mention!! If you gals had seen her, you gals will understand! Jan, I really understand your misery liao by the looks and the feeling your MIL had given me. It’s not that I’m biased or had read too much of what had been written but it’s the truth! She just gives the kind of feel!
In a short while, most of the guest had left and which only left our gang. And guess what, the few of us with our kids were doing our signature icon dance in Jan’s kitchen and were also behaving like little kids! Goodness, luckily the guys were engrossed with their own conversation or they just simply ignored us! Haha… we’re really enjoying ourselves in the centre of the kitchen…
We all left close to 5pm. Kat and Shannon hitched a ride from us as we need to go the Econ mini-mart near to her place. After grabbing the Gain IQ and Vitasoy, we also went back home. Sherry knocked out straight till 830pm and even missed her porridge.
She was a little cranky when she woke up but after a little coaxing, she was smiling and laughing with mummy. After changing and feeding her, she was tossing and turning on the big bed and later in her cot. She fell asleep when I left the room to have a shower before bed time.

Pictures taken by Kat... Thanks dear meow

Supposed to be

Today supposed to be meeting up Belle and Pin for a shopping trip but Yi called and asked what time am I going back home, she’ll like to hitch a ride from me. So called off the appointment, instead we went to pick Pin up from the centre and we just went home. We did not go shopping at the mall, and we spend the day at home. Even mum also did not want buy dinner; we all had porridge for dinner and of cos with steam fish that were brought home on the same day. Sherry enjoys eating them, and keeps asking for more. She is such a clever girl that knows how to appreciate nice & fresh fish!
Since Daddy has to attend a wedding dinner, so I’ve decided to take a cab back instead of asking FIL to come and pick us. So my dear sister went down with us and see us board a Mercs cab and off to home we went.
MIL was worried about her little Honey Sherry and went downstairs to wait for her but we only arrived after she had left. After settling down, went to make some milk for her with Sherry sitting on the kitchen table top cos I know that once MIL carry her, Sherry will refused to let me bring her into the room and will definitely be very cranky. So I just simply, refused to let her carry. After making the milk, we went to room and settle down and in no time, Sherry is in La La Land and in a short while, mummy too!! But I think daddy was back around 130am.

Runny Nose…

After the hoo ahh on the slight fever, Sherry is having a little running nose. I could felt that MIL is trying to find out where could she has caught the bug, or was it because; we did not cover the blanket for Sherry that causes the cold. But she knows that Sherry does not like to cover any blanket, she will just kick away the moment we put it on her!
Well, anyhow, I’ve already asked MIL not to give her any medication as we are not sure if they have expired! So to play safe, I’ve refused to give her any unless, it has worsen, which I’ll bring her to the doctor instead.
Anyway, she managed to fight the flu bug with her own immune system (which is better). Since, we are preparing the ‘guo dong’; we did not have enough ingredients, so MIL decided to go to Sun Plaza’s Red Man. In this case, I had to cancel my appointment with Belle and went to meet them at Sembawang’s MRT control station. We had a short shopping trip as there is also nothing much in the mall, so we left around 8 plus.
We had a fun time on the ride home and we still managed to spend some time playing before she decided to goes to bed. Daddy was late cos he had gone for a meet up with his forum friends.

Strange??

We are very puzzled! Sherry was having a slight fever last evening but this morning, it has gone down and she is playing and eating like any normal day. I had called back twice as at now, and MIL told me that she is fine. The fever had just seems like gone with the wind. But anyway, I’ve asked her to observe Sherry and call me once she found out that Sherry is not well. We have wired thinking about all these. Anyway, we’ll see how it is around the evening time, cos she was perfectly alright the whole day until last evening.
If the fever returns, I’ll have to ‘fly areoplane’ to my ex-colleagues as I’ll have to rush home so that MIL could goes to the first floor to pray. Let’s pray hard that it’s just a phrase and everything will be fine.

Feverish!

Received a call from hubby that MIL had told him Sherry is a little feverish. Her temperature was 38.3 degrees. She was wondering if I’m going back with him, if yes, will have to try to be early. But I’m not, cos I’ve arranged to meet Kat at the same time at our usual place.
When I’m home, quickly take her temperature, 1 ear is 37.9 degrees and the other is 38.1 degrees. We concluded that she could be just having a slight fever. I took out the fever medication from the fridge and noticed that the medication were dated in May n June. I was afraid that it may have expired, so called the clinic to clarify with the nurse. But the nurse was also not very sure about this. The doctor had told MIL that it can last for 6 months if, it is unopened and is in the fridge, but the nurse kept saying, three months. So which are correct lei, can anyone tell me?
But anyway, we had decided not to give her any medication since it’s a slight fever. If the temperature had gone too high up in the night, then we’ll give her 1 dosage of the medication.
She still can play as usual and still walk around the house as usual. She has the slightest sign of being sick. Hmm… so I’m still wondering what causes the fever. It was round 9pm plus that she decided to sleep. So brought her to wash up, brush her teeth, and changed into her pajamas. She had surprised me by finishing all her milk which I thought otherwise.
Tonight will be a sleepless night for mummy, who will have to keep waking up to see my little girl… Tired lei… hai.. Hope she’ll be fine tomorrow…

Normal Tues Day

Nothing much had happened in the day, and all of us were busy with our work. There was a special appearance by Irene after lunch. We yakked for a little while and Irene went off as she did not want to disturb our work.
Managed to meet Kat as usual, but today she’ll be alighting at CCK instead as she needs to return her library books. We parted 1 stop earlier and by the time I reached YT, MIL & Sherry had already gone home. So since, I’m unable to exchange the shampoo to conditioner in the Guardian, I went into NTUC to get one.
When I’m home, little Sherry is playing with MIL in her room, quickly went to have my shower and settle down for dinner. She was in the playpen watching the TV while both MIL & me having our dinner in the kitchen.
After all these, went to play & at the same time read the books to Sherry, and soon, it’s her bedtime. This silly girl, while I was making milk, she had bitten her own finger and was wailing so loudly. Quickly pacify her and brought her into the room to give her milk. This little girl, just because of this, she refused to go into the cot to sleep, so out of no choice, I left her sleeping on the bed and transfer her into the cot later.

Another Quiet Day.

Today is another quiet day in my office. My FC is working from home and everyone is so busy with the work, which includes me lah. keke
It’s also quiet in the chat as Jan is on medical leave and Careen whom had overslept, had taken the day off too, which means only leaves with Kat & me. But Kat is busy clearing her emails and I’m busy with my work, and so we did not even chat much. Careen and Jan both did log on at different time of the morning so we still did not manage to get the both of them together. May be we can meet to go back cos Kat may be going to SIL’s place instead.
Now it’s pouring cats & dogs outside and really wish that I’m home with Sherry so that I can also ‘nuah’ when she sleeps. Now am green with envy on those who are not in the office. Hai…

Short Shopping Trip @ Lot 1

Since, I’ve finished my dinner very early; we decided to bring Sherry out to Lot 1 for a short shopping trip.
I did not let her down very much as was afraid that she was unable to balance and fall down again. So she was in my arms most of the time. We just window shopping most of the time and had saw a few pieces of nice clothes, may be will come back to get them.
In the end, we got the following

1) Another pair of ‘tsk tsk’ shoe for Sherry
2) 4 bread buns for breakfast for both Mummy & Daddy
3) 1 pcs of cake for Sherry to snack
4) 1 tube of Autosol for cleaning the cooker hob
5) 1 packet of peanut snack

We left Lot 1 close to 9pm and let Sherry has some fun with her new shoes in the playpen. I settle her for bedtime and she only knock off around 1030pm, which was kind of late for this little princess.

Time Off on a Quiet Day in MSN

I was thinking of taking an hour off to go back and observe Sherry as she had her chicken pox jab yesterday and of cos the baluku she had last night. I
Spoke to my FC about this and it’s so nice of him to tell me that I did not need to replace back the 1 hour off. But of cos I feel bad and will try to work to compensate back.
Today Kat is on leave to bring Shannon for her MMR jab, which left only Jan, Careen & me. In the afternoon, Careen left for HQ meeting and only left Jan & me. Later around 430pm, I’ll be leaving too, so only left Jan. Luckily Irene came in and chatted with her when I was going to leave the office. So at least, she will not be so lonely. Today is a lonely and quiet day in the chat room. Life is never the same with either one of the khakis. Kat, although you are only on 1 day leave, we still miss you very very much.
It’s time for me to leave the office. I bet my MIL must be very surprised to see me home so early… keke

First Call from Sherry

I’ve just received the first call from Sherry just now! I’m so excited and quickly blog this down!
My little girl just happened to dial my office direct number while playing with the cordless phone. When I picked up, it was such a familiar background and when she heard my voice, she begins to speak her language. My little girl started to baby talk and she even knows to address me (of cos, calling me papa). She knows that mummy is on the line but she still dunno how to address me properly. She keeps on rattling on and on.. Then I heard MIL talking to her so I called out to her. Sherry had taken the phone out from the charger. Keke
Although she did not call me on purpose, but I’m still very happy… keke… my little girl call me for the first time..

Chicken Pox Jab & A Knock on the Head Again

We had decided to let her had this jab but the only problem is when. It was a last minute decision to let her have it today. So I’ve called Raffles Hospital to make an appointment on Sunday since Dr Thomas Wong is duty.
We leave the house around 11 plus after I’m also done with her porridge, just need to add in the fish when we are back. She fell asleep while we were almost there; we woke her up when we arrived at the hospital. She was the next one when we arrived. She starts to walk around and play with the toys that are in the corner.
Before it was our turn, the nurse took her weight and height, now she weighs 10.2kg and is 81cm tall. In no time, it’s our turn, Dr Wong started off by mixing the solution and then a short assessment of Sherry and then the jab is ready. She is such a sweetie, she just make a little cry and was easily clamed down with some distraction of the toys. When she had clamed down, I gave her some water. Before we left the room, she even waved good bye to Dr Wong and then off she goes walking again.
This time, she did not fall asleep; it was mummy that fell asleep on the way back. When we reached home, the porridge is ready. Quickly let her settled down, then feed her porridge and let her have her nap.
She had an almost 3 hours nap. She seems alright when she wakes up, but this KS mummy keeps observing if she is running a fever. When I try to take her temperature, she thought that it’s so fun and keep asking me to take a few more times for her. *my silly girl*.
In the evening, she was playing with MIL while the both of us have our dinner. Out of the blue, I heard her cries. This girl had a knock on her head when she was trying to get up on her feet. She may have a bad knock that she is wailing so badly. I had a hard time pacifying her and of cos it was also because MIL keeps on wanting to carry her. I asked hubby to ask her to go away, while I try to pacify her again. In the end, I brought her down for a short walk. She is back on her feet in no time and MIL keeps blaming herself that she did not take good care of Sherry. She was almost at the brink of crying again. Luckily I brought Sherry away from her. There’s a blue black at the same spot again. Hai..
Quickly settle her for her bedtime. She fell in asleep in no time. At the same time, MIL still feeling guilty and she even wanted to sleep with Sherry and I just turn her down flatly. Both mummy & daddy also fell asleep in no time..

Short stay at Mum’s place

We only went to mum’s place in the evening around 4 plus. Sister came over from her hostel to hitch a ride back home.
Sherry had a fun time walking around the house, while mummy and grandmother cooks her porridge. Daddy was with her and following her walking in n out of the kitchen. After the porridge, she said that she was to ‘ngo ngo’ so I had to set up the sarong. And to my surprise, she really fell asleep in no time and we all can have our dinner in ‘peace’. After dinner, both mum & dad brought her out for a short walk and when she returns she wants to go back.
She keeps rubbing her eye trying to say that she wants to sleep so she wants to go back. When her grandmother asked her if she wants to go home, she keeps nodding her head. After mum had packed her weekly supplies of threadfin fish, fish bone and pork bone, we are ready to leave the house.
She had a great time talking in the car (in her own language) and we reached home, she was still walking around and playing with her toys. After all the cleaning up and her feed, she fell asleep in her cot and of cos, mummy & daddy follow suit.

Go Away Mozzies!!

Dunno where did MIL found this to keep mozzies away from Sherry and it seems pretty effective, mayb u gals wanna try this out.
She had been added 2 or 3 star aniseed and a littl fennel seeds into Sherry's bath tub for her to bathe. If you are not using the tub for the kids, just need to add those into a container of lukewarm water and give the kids a final rinse.
According to her, its very effective and she even feels it herself less prone to mozzie bites. All the above spices are very common and will be able to get them from the NTUC.
