The rest of the 2 days @ school, she seems alright, MIL is able to stay out of the classroom waiting for her. Of cos, she still wanted MIL to stay with her but after some coaxing from her favorite teacher; she just went to the class with her.
When I called up the school, Irene told me that she is coping well in class; she is also participating in all activities too. All these comments had really brightened up my days. I’m able to see some light at the end of the tunnel but it might also be too early to say cos, she might be the kind of delayed telecast students (according to Irene).
Keep my fingers crossed!

Off again – 3rd day @ school
The routine begins as the 1st day but today, she kept on wanting to come to me probably as there’s a new boy whose mummy was in the class throughout the whole 2 hours. Guess Sherry must have the thinking that if other mummy can stay, so can mine. I really don’t know if I should say her smart. She was not like this when MIL brought her there yesterday, as told by the principal.
I had decided to go back to Mum’s place after school, so when we were home, quickly shower and fed her lunch before we set off again. It was around 3 plus when I reached home and this gal had already fallen asleep in the cab. She continued to have her nap while I managed to sneak in to chat a little and at the same time to do some work.
Hubby came around 9 plus to bring us home.

Back to work
I leave it to MIL to bring her a day to the school. She mentioned that Sherry seemed to be coping well at school and hope this can last.
Poor MIL, since she had to stay there with Sherry, she had a very rushing time in the morning. She had to prepare Sherry’s lunch and also to prepare her ready for school. Luckily this gal is co-operative when there is only one person looking after her (guess not much choices for her to make). After they came back from school, MIL quickly heat up the soup and then put it in the soup.
While they are rushing at home, it was also the same for me in the office. Although, this is not a very good time to be away from office, but I do not have a choice. I had to be with my gal on her first day of school, no matter what happens!

FIRST DAY @ SCHOOL AGAIN!!!!
Today is Sherry’s first day at Tumble Tots Right Start program. I’m feeling very nervous as I do not know how and what Sherry’s feelings & reactions are.
I brought her to there together with MIL as she does not know the place. I introduced her to Irene and also sat in the class with Sherry in the classroom. She knows that I’m waiting for her outside and guess she must be feeling excited to see so many children who are older than her.
Time pass very quickly, 2 hours had passed and they are all being released from the classroom. She seems to be enjoying herself as much as I like her to be. She seems happy. She even keep asking to go to Tots (her version) even when we reached home.
Hopefully, she really meant it, and then as parents, we’ll feel that our money is well spent!

Goodbye Pacifier!!!
Today I can declare that Sherry is totally weaned off her PACIFIER!!!! Keke…
Since Monday, she had stopped asking for her pacifier. Earlier last week, she will ask as and when she likes. Later the week, she’ll ask for it when she wants to sleep. But over the weekend, she only asks for it when we are traveling in the car.
Monday & Tuesday she did not asked for anytime of the day. MIL asked that she just have her nap after taking some water and did not even asked for the pacifier. Well, at night, she is totally off since the longest time. I only gave in to her while she is really very desperate and she also knows that Mummy means business. Keke..
We will still watch out for another couple of days before we declare victory!!! Keep my fingers & toes crossed!!!

Shoe Shopping
We had pushed her TT lesson to Sat as we wanted to bring her out for some shoe shopping. We had decided to go Marina Square cos they had finished the renovation and also Hubby wanted to get the Crocs shoes.
So after Sherry had her porridge, we set off to Marina Square. She had asked for her pacifier (as usual) once we settled her into the car seat. She has been waned off since this Monday as we just keep it this way. In order to pacify her, I just keep feeding her with her favorite tibits like corn flakes and the banana stars. Luckily I had brought excess. Keke…
In no time, we reached Marina Square, and it happened that there was some kind of Kids playground being set up at the center stage. Even when we bring her away to shop, she keeps waiting to go back there to play. We did not even have a chance to shop anywhere further.
Hubby just went to the Crocs shop to try on the shoes, while I bring Sherry out to see the stage and the performance. This is the first time I can decide on the shoe so quickly and even try for a little while. Keke… (It’s really very comfortable). Anyway Hubby is buying but I’ll still pay him a small sum. Keke… Wow, he spent $142 for 3 pairs of Crocs shoe… OMG!!!
Actually, his plan was to get each one of us a pair that includes Sherry and I simply refused. Cos her feet size will be still growing and it will soon be wasted. So he bought 2 pairs for himself and I bought a pair of slippers and none of Sherry.
After shoe shopping, we went to KFC for a little snack and bring her back to the playground again as I had promised. We let her played for awhile more and then we went back home. Since she fell asleep on the way home, we decided to detour to Cold Storage to get some groceries. Hubby had stayed in the car with her while I went to get the things and are back in about 20 minutes. Keke
It was around 530pm when we reached home, after settle her on the mattress, Hubby went to wash his car while I just laze around to watch TV. I was afraid to start my ironing fearing she will wake in anytime. But to my surprised, she slept thru till about 8pm! I should have started my iron! After she woke up, she had a rest before feeding her some dinner. We had given her lesser cos it was already very late.
By 10pm, she had no sign of sleepiness and just kept on playing with her Lego. I’m already very tired, so I just went to the room to have a nap. It was already 1130pm when they all come in to wake me. So quickly settle her for bed while Hubby went to make milk for her.. In no time, we are all in La La Land…

Fathers’ Day Celebration
This time is our turn to pay for the Fathers’ Day dinner since BIL had paid for the Mothers’ Day celebration that time. All of us had stayed home but Sherry only fell asleep around 430pm and we had to wake her up around 6pm.
This girl, she is good, she was not cranky when we waked her up from her sleep. She just is good to let us change her and then bring her out to the dinner venue. We had brought her porridge and just fed her there. She was enjoying herself thru out the night likewise for the adults watching her. We will consider that she is pretty well behaved thru out the dinner.
I hope Hubby will agree and bring her out more often in future. Keke…

Scared??
We had changed her Sunday lesson to Saturday cos we might be bringing her out shopping tomorrow.
Since Hubby will be going to service his car so he just alight us near the big staircase of the stadium. This is the first time that we are going there all by ourselves and as usual, the girl has so much fun.
Before we left for the lesson, she knows that she is going to TT and was very happy but she also mentioned that she was scared and wanted me to go with her! Aiyo, after 3 months, she’s still scared lei. Hai.. But once she is at the school, she is fine, playing non-stop and once she is out and I mention about school, she will tell me she is scared! I really don’t know if I should believe that she is really scared or not! Keke
Anyhow and anyway, we’ll still stick to our plan to bring her to school daily..

Keep my fingers crossed
Tonight will be the 3rd day in weaning Sherry off the pacifier.
Together with MIL, we had been trying our best to wean her off the pacifier since Monday. Although, she had constantly asked for it, we just tell her she had spoilt it or forgotten to buy it. We just came out with all sorts of reason not to give her the pacifier.
In the day, MIL will just try to give her more snacks than the usual days, while in the night; I just sing and accompany her to sleep to make her forget about it.
We could be successful as we’ll be home for the whole week. The day that she did not asked for the pacifier will be the day to celebrate. I hope it works.

Wonderful News
I had spoken to my FC on my salary again and they are willing to up my payroll by about 22%. Keke... He has brightened my day! Of cos I have to share with my dearies, and they are all so happy for me!
After such a long time, I’m at least seeing something decent going into my bank. The first thing that I have to do will be to re-instate my other insurance which had been long overdue.
Oh yes, after being converted to a permanent staff, I’m also able to enjoy the medical benefits, insurance coverage and also increase number of annual leave to 21 days annually. And he also mentioned that I might also be secured with an additional month of bonus by the end of the financial year. What wonderful news right!!!!
Actually it’s the appreciation that I’m really happy about. Keke

Important decision made
After sending her to Tumble Tots for about 3 months, MIL & I think that she is ready for the playgroup again. She had suggested that we should give another shoot but Hubby had his concern.
Anyhow, I had made enquries with regards to Tumble Tots Playgroup which they call Right Start. It will be daily sessions and the program seems quite interesting. The lesson plan looks something like this and I guess she might enjoy as there are more things to learn and do instead of just scooping the macaroni and playing with water and no interaction with others.
11.00-11.15 Assembly/Free Play
11.15-11.30 Circle time/Hello Song/Songs & Rhymes
11.30-12.00 Maths(Mon)/Letterland(Tues)/Literatur(Wed)/Letterland(Thur)/Math(Fri)
12.00-12.15 Snack Time
12.15-12.45 Physical Play(Mon to Wed) / Mandarin (Thurs & Fri)
12.45-13.00 Closing/Songs & Good Bye
I really hope that she is ready but in any case that she is not, we can transfer her back to the weekend program again. And the cycle starts again.
This time, even though, Hubby has his concern, we had come to a conclusion to send her and let her try again. The class will begin on the 26 June 2006. Everyone pray hard for me alright… Thanks…

Fathers’ Day celebration
Since Felicia did not come over to stay, we proceed on with our routine visit to mum’s place. Later this evening, we’ll be going to the same place to have dinner.
So we set off around 6 plus and luckily we are not the latest. This time round, the dishes are different but I still prefer the previous menu. This time there are a few dishes where the kids are not very keen with it, so most of the time, we had to finish them.. Wow, so full lei.. (fat die fat die).. keke
After dinner send sisters home since I’m picking up the weekly supply of Sherry’s fish and pork ribs. Grab all the stuff and off we went. Keke.. As usual, she just dozed off after I kept my eyes closed.

Disappointment
Today is the day to fetch my big baby to my place for a short stay over. But I’ve received a call in the morning saying that her daddy had back out at the very last minute and do not agree to let her come over now.
Hai… We are all so disappointed! She is ultimately upset over this issue and even passed some very angry remarks like not trusting them anymore! How could they do such a thing to a 12 year old girl! She is growing up and trying to trust them but they had been always breaking her faith in them.
I was discussing this issue with MIL and she also agreed that the whole family is just pushing her to the wrong path and there is nothing much we can do! The most we can just advise her but its not enough.. We are really worried that she might just go astray… Hai.. May be we are just thinking too much…

Promoted from walking to 2
Sherry had been promoted to another class from the walking to 2 lessons. The lesson plan is totally different from the previous lessons. This time, all the tumble tots are expected to follow instructions and parents will have to be there to guide them rather than to let them run about.
They have lesser free play, but I should say they have more constructive activities. Although the lesson is still 45 mins, it just seems longer and it more taxing on the parents. I’m looking forward to the day where I can just sit back relax and just watch her play. Keep my fingers cross.
