EXHAUSTED

This has been my feeling lately. I had been feeling so exhausted, this is something that had never occured or I should say never happened to me before.
As I had mentioned before about the departure of my colleague, most of the her work is now on my shoulder. It also looks like there will no replacement in the near future, which means I will still have to bite the bullet and hang on.
As I am busy like a bee in the office, I also feel so stressed up at home. My mil had singing lessons every Wed, which means I have to rush home on time. So that she can go for her lessons whereas Hubby can take his own sweet time to come back home. I even have to come back home with him on the days does not work late. It is just strange that why do mummy has to do all the rushing home and taking of the kids or taking over from mil while the daddy can just work or come home the time they want.
I have been living my life in this way for the past close to 2 months. I really do not know how long can I still hang on. I really don't mind the extra work in the office, at least I felt appreciated by my boss. But when I'm home, sometimes I just need some understanding from mil and most importantly Hubby. They might be understanding on some way and may be I did not notice it at all but I do not feel the understanding at all. Hai... That is so sad isn't it!
I really do not know what to say and what to write. I have lots of thoughts and feels about what had happened to me, I just do not have the time to pen them down. When will I be the same old me again????? Someone save me..... or rather... can someone understand my plight????

I’m Early!!

I so happy in fact on cloud nine cos I managed to finish my portion of the Q1 closing before my given dateline!
As the dateline had been brought forward for this quarter, we are all pressing for time. Luckily I manage to finish all invoicing & also the AP including the new duties in time. I am pretty happy with my own pace, looks like I have not lost the touch after so many years! Keke... Cannot imagine how I survived when I was handling nine sets of accts. The only reason that I can think off is I was much younger then, and I was still not a mummy then. I was able to work till wee hours or even to work on weekends without any worry. But now, I just have to watch my time so that I can rush back in time to look after my little princess.
Phew… am not that old after all.. kekkee….

Yippie Finally!!!

Finally, it took her 1 full week. Although she still has slight cough and a little phlegm but I’ll declare her as recovered!
I had told MIL that she is eating well on Sunday. She had finished her bowl of porridge and also started to ask for snacks. Hehe.. So on Monday, MIL did not give her medication. We just let her recover on her own, now its her own immunity system to fight against the last few ‘virus’, which we all believe that she can do it without any medication.
She also had been showing signs that she missed Tumble Tots, she had been asking the same question when I’m home. That is, ma-ma, bao bao want tots school. Keke… I’m so happy to hear this. I think Irene will be thrilled when I tell her this too!!! For once, my gal wants to go school. Keke..
Hopefully, this will last but we’ll only know on 11th Sept Monday when the school re-opens. Keep my fingers & toes crossed…

Sick and off school for a week

She had been sick since Monday so we decided to keep her at home till she has fully recovered. She had developed fever, cough with phlegm and slight runny nose. MIL had brought her to the doctor and was given a few medications to take. This time she took slightly a longer time to recover. She had not gone to school for 1 whole week and next week is the school holiday. So she will be confined at home for 2 weeks.

Now then...

I know there are spider web around this blog but I just cannot find time to update it like before... sob sob... Let me explain...
In the month of July I was still able to manage my work pretty well, there were even some days where I was there to sit, chat & do minimal work. But those were the days. Come August after my July’s closing, I was busy making sure that I do not have any back log. The reason being my closest colleague had resigned and her last day was on the 18th of Aug which happened to be the day when our CEO came down for a management meeting.
That week my FM from MYS came to SIN to meet up with my FC to discuss on which are the duties should I be taking over from her. In the end, I took over all her duties in the Finance area. It just seems right for me to take over cos all the things are to be done in SIN and since my FM is already booking the AR into the system. It would be a better segregation of duties for me to do the checking and he carry on with the booking. All these means that now I’m in charged of the whole AP process and also part of the AR besides booking into the system. I’m also doing the bank recon for all the banks at month end.
With all those additional duties at work, I’m pleased to say that I can still sneak out some time to chat with my buddies (this is something I cannot do without everyday).
Since then, I had been so busy that I din even have the time to update. Besides all those additional duties, there’s nothing much to blog about my little princess as nothing major had happened at home. She is still the same, as cheeky as before, as nottie as before, as sticky to mil as before. There is only one thing to update; she is more vocal then before no matter in spoken English or Chinese.

Potty

Yes, that was what Sherry said that night. She asked for her potty but she is still unable to do it there. She just sat on the potty and give me a kind of funny smile. Well, I did not want to force her so whenever she asked for her potty, we just let her have the fun of sitting on it. We just let her take her own time to be toilet trained. No point stressing ourselves out when she is not even ready, right.
I believe one day she will be able to do it in the potty and the day will be soon.. 加油.. :)

A big step for Sherry

We had been trying to let Sherry goes diaperless but of cos it at her own pace. We had done the fair share of toilet training but we realized that she feels very stressful about it. That’s where we decided to let her do it on her own.
She had only gone diaperless in the evening when I’m home. The reason being at least there is another pair of eyes and extra pair of hands to help when she pee. We are worried that either one of them might just slipped and fall when there’s not enough help. So whenever I’m back, MIL will let her go diaperless for that evening, which is like about an hour or two before bedtime. Although she does not really know how to tell us when she wants to pee, but I guess, all these take time. She will know it eventually, its just a matter of time. Keke..
I guess the next big step will be how to train her to sit on the potty to do her big business. This is something that she is so afraid off…

Black weekend

No, it’s not the weather; it’s my hubby’s face.
First, it was on Saturday that we had a little argument. It all started with his precious car again. Hai… Sometimes, I just feel that he had done so much for his car and even spend lots of his time there. How I wish he could spend some with Sherry or with me. I just feel that we are secondary to his precious car, or I should put it this way, I’m always the last come to his car, his car clubs and a long list which include Sherry way before me… hai… I just feel that am such a failure as a wife. He is always more into the things for his precious car.
I was not feeling well since I woke up on Saturday morning. The pain on my back was killing me. So I took the opportunity to have a little nap while he looks after Sherry (its like 10 mins) . But after I woke up, he just went downstairs and don’t know do what to his car. He will always say, look at things lor, or nothing lah.. hai.. There must be something right. Anyway, just after he had spent about an hour there, he came up and tell me he is going to wash his car which he will definitely take another 4 hours away from home. So I was pissed and told him off. Of cos he is unhappy with me. No matter how I chased him off he just refused and of cos with a black black face. That night, we just went off to bed without talking.
Come Sunday, we had to go to my granny hours for prayers. I guess he had not gotten over what happened on Saturday, he was pretty cold towards me. He just did what he supposed to do and then sat there and we also did not talk much. When things started to be better, he found a dent on his precious car! He was heart broken and also very angry with whoever had done that! He had been looking out from the balcony throughout the day but he never realized that there was such a dent! It was quite a deep dent! He again put on a black face! Hai…. Somebody help me… :(

Blessing in Disguise

After hearing what my mummy says about my granny, I was so worried for her. Hai... all the negative thoughts come rushing into my mind! Especially when there’s a history of liver cancer that runs in the family, (my grand-uncle, whom is her youngest brother, recently died of that).
I called my auntie Peggy when I was on my way home, last evening. She will have the latest information as granny is now staying with her for the time being. She told me that they had just collected the blood test result. It has turned out to be that my granny is suffering from thyroid problem. The doctor will have to do another blood test to determine the stage of her problem and also what type of medication to be given to her. I cannot say that we are totally pleased with the result but we are all very glad that it was not we thought it would have been. The doctor also mentioned that they cannot find any cancerous cells in her liver, lungs & bones, which is the best news for us.
If anything was to happen to my granny, this will be the first encounter and I’m not sure how would I handle all these? I’m aware that death to come to all but I just hope it does not come so fast. Hai...

Exactly 1 month ago was the first day of my little princess Right Start class. We were so worried that she would not be able to cope and reject the class totally. But she really surprised us! Not only that she has been enjoying the class, she begins to be more open up and able to socialize and not that afraid of strangers. This is the most drastic change I notice in her.
In fact, all along, we know that she is a very bright girl but is being too protected by her granny & daddy. The person that is over protective is not granny, it’s her daddy whom always thinks that his little girl has not grown up or will not grow up. He has been restricting exposure to her. Can u gals believe it, my little princess, who is 2 years old and had not gone to the zoo before? OH MY GOODNESS!! I can never bring this up cos he will definitely flare at me.
Anyhow, he is convinced how much wonders can the school teach! Let’s see how she get along for the next few months.

For Once!

This is really for once I’m sitting with nothing much in the tray! That is I’m only doing a little filing here & there and also solving some invoicing issues that are not very urgent. I had managed to clear up my entire backlog and waiting for new assignments to be allocated to me. Guess, there will be more work handing over from June’s side since she is leaving in a months’ time, unless my FC wants to get someone else to take over. Well, its all up to him. But let me enjoy the ‘free’ time I have now… Kekeke…

So sweet hor...

I was not in my own chirpy self today. I was woken up by this terrible tummy ache @ 5am this morning. Knowing that I’m unable to hold on any longer quickly went to the washroom. After doing what is supposed to do, I did not want to wake hubby up so slept in the master room before the alarm went off.
It went off @ 615am and I’m still manage to snooze for a little while like ten minutes. After washing all the things and get ready all the vitamins for hubby & the yummy bears for Sherry, I’m still managed to doze off for a good 5 minutes before hubby came in and asked me what’s wrong. I was never like this before, he was pretty worried. I told him what happened in the morning and he asked me to take a day off, but I was feeling better after taking his medication so we just proceed off to work.
I must have been so tired that I dozed off on the way to work. He only wakes me when we are reaching the coffee shop where we usually get our breakfast. I did not want to eat so we just drive off to the office directly. Before I alighted from the office, he told me, go n see the doctor if u are still not well. So sweet hor. Kekeke…
At around 10 plus, he called and check if am feeling better… Kekeke… Looks like I do not need any medication liao… Kekeke…

Full time weekend mummy

MIL had gone a short trip to Malaysia with her friends. What a wonderful weekend. I know it so bad of me to feel this way, but this is the only time where I can really spend quality time with my little one without her clinging to MIL!
We had quite an enjoyable weekend, this girl din even look for MIL when she was away. Dunno what to say abt her! Although, she did not have things her way as much as she wanted but overall, we are enjoying the time as a family.
I went marketing on Sunday to get some vegetables for Sherry and also our breakfast. After which I was in the kitchen busy cooking lunch for all of us.
How I really wish that it will like this every week, I know its too much to ask after what my MIL had done for me. But this is the only time, we can bond as a family.

Angry with Sherry

He was super angry with Sherry. I had never hear him raised his voice @ her not to mentioned about raising his hands @ her. She must have pushed his patience over the limit.
He was feeding Sherry lunch while I was in the kitchen cooking porridge. I was walking in and out of the living room and hear him asking her to swollow her food in the mouth. She simply ignored his words. He got so angry after asking her many times and finally, a slap on the thighs! And of cos that girl wail so loudly for me! I went there not to pacify her but brought her to the kitchen and threw away the whole bowl of porridge! I know I should have pacify her first but I was also boiling mad on this bad habit!
Anyhow, after all these drama, we gave her some water, stood by the stand that she will have to go hungry. She really fell asleep and by the time she woke up, she gobbled the bottle of 7 oz milk (for once)..

Bonus again!!!

Yesterday, my FC had mentioned to me that I’ll be given bonus for the first 5 months of the year 2006 too!!!! This news really brightens up my evening. He did mention something like USD975 but I wasn’t pay attention as the word bonus had already filled up my ears & mind!! Kekeke… He also said that there will be a bigger pay out (like USD2K) for the year 2006 is we can meet our compliance by Nov 2006. keke…
Of cos I’m happy about the extra money I’m getting but what makes me happier is that my FC appreciates my work and is happy with my performance. The first pay out will be in the month of August… Yippie!!!

Busy (more likely to be lazy)

Yes, I had not been updating my blog as constantly as I did previous. Firstly, ever since I had been converted to permanent, there’s an increase in my workload that makes it difficult cos I still had to meet my dateline to go back home in time. Secondly, I feel that I’m getting lazier each day, cos there are not much of ‘important’ issues happening except for my little one @ school.
Of cos, I’ll try to blog as much as possible to capture all the interesting things that had happened.

Super Cranky & Sticky Week

This a horrible week for me again. Sherry had been super sticky to MIL! Hai... what can I say, one of them, just want to stick and the other one does not want to let go. Have anyone come across that, the daughter does not want her own mummy? NO?? I can tell you, there is, and she is my Sherry. After I had done so much for her, she still does not want me, can anyone imagine how hurt I was for the past week! The worst thing is Hubby does not think like me. (do all man think alike??)
When I scold Sherry at my mum's place, he even changelled me to carry Sherry back instead of her being carried away by my mum! I did that to his mum only when she is over protective and had been letting Sherry had her own way!!! I was so upset with his thoughts and told him off that once a week pampering will no harm the kid, its the everyday issue!!! Hai, how come things will turn out this way!!!
I had to tell MIL again that she has to try to let go of Sherry but she just shift the blame to Sherry. She told me that Sherry cannot do without her. But I insisted and told her, I'm the mummy, is there any kids that refused her mummy after what I had done???? There isn't right! So why don't we just try, if she let go and yet Sherry still does not want me, then I have nothing to say!!!
But I really does not wish that to happen, so I just have to keep my fingers cross that MIL kept her promise and stay away from Sherry when its my shift.

Routined Sat & Rested Sun

Saturday, we went back to mum’s place pretty late as sister was not home and I wanted my mum to have more rest since she was not very well. We left home in the evening at the same time; we buy dinner back for them too.

Sunday was a stay at home day as Sherry had just caught the flu bug. We fed her some medication and make sure she has lots of rest as I do not want her to miss school on Tuesday. I do not want her to break the routine since she is coping well.

Friday, June 30, 2006

Bright Thurs & Fri

The rest of the 2 days @ school, she seems alright, MIL is able to stay out of the classroom waiting for her. Of cos, she still wanted MIL to stay with her but after some coaxing from her favorite teacher; she just went to the class with her.
When I called up the school, Irene told me that she is coping well in class; she is also participating in all activities too. All these comments had really brightened up my days. I’m able to see some light at the end of the tunnel but it might also be too early to say cos, she might be the kind of delayed telecast students (according to Irene).
Keep my fingers crossed!

Off again – 3rd day @ school

The routine begins as the 1st day but today, she kept on wanting to come to me probably as there’s a new boy whose mummy was in the class throughout the whole 2 hours. Guess Sherry must have the thinking that if other mummy can stay, so can mine. I really don’t know if I should say her smart. She was not like this when MIL brought her there yesterday, as told by the principal.
I had decided to go back to Mum’s place after school, so when we were home, quickly shower and fed her lunch before we set off again. It was around 3 plus when I reached home and this gal had already fallen asleep in the cab. She continued to have her nap while I managed to sneak in to chat a little and at the same time to do some work.
Hubby came around 9 plus to bring us home.

Back to work

I leave it to MIL to bring her a day to the school. She mentioned that Sherry seemed to be coping well at school and hope this can last.
Poor MIL, since she had to stay there with Sherry, she had a very rushing time in the morning. She had to prepare Sherry’s lunch and also to prepare her ready for school. Luckily this gal is co-operative when there is only one person looking after her (guess not much choices for her to make). After they came back from school, MIL quickly heat up the soup and then put it in the soup.
While they are rushing at home, it was also the same for me in the office. Although, this is not a very good time to be away from office, but I do not have a choice. I had to be with my gal on her first day of school, no matter what happens!

FIRST DAY @ SCHOOL AGAIN!!!!

Today is Sherry’s first day at Tumble Tots Right Start program. I’m feeling very nervous as I do not know how and what Sherry’s feelings & reactions are.
I brought her to there together with MIL as she does not know the place. I introduced her to Irene and also sat in the class with Sherry in the classroom. She knows that I’m waiting for her outside and guess she must be feeling excited to see so many children who are older than her.
Time pass very quickly, 2 hours had passed and they are all being released from the classroom. She seems to be enjoying herself as much as I like her to be. She seems happy. She even keep asking to go to Tots (her version) even when we reached home.
Hopefully, she really meant it, and then as parents, we’ll feel that our money is well spent!

Goodbye Pacifier!!!

Today I can declare that Sherry is totally weaned off her PACIFIER!!!! Keke…
Since Monday, she had stopped asking for her pacifier. Earlier last week, she will ask as and when she likes. Later the week, she’ll ask for it when she wants to sleep. But over the weekend, she only asks for it when we are traveling in the car.
Monday & Tuesday she did not asked for anytime of the day. MIL asked that she just have her nap after taking some water and did not even asked for the pacifier. Well, at night, she is totally off since the longest time. I only gave in to her while she is really very desperate and she also knows that Mummy means business. Keke..
We will still watch out for another couple of days before we declare victory!!! Keep my fingers & toes crossed!!!

Shoe Shopping

We had pushed her TT lesson to Sat as we wanted to bring her out for some shoe shopping. We had decided to go Marina Square cos they had finished the renovation and also Hubby wanted to get the Crocs shoes.
So after Sherry had her porridge, we set off to Marina Square. She had asked for her pacifier (as usual) once we settled her into the car seat. She has been waned off since this Monday as we just keep it this way. In order to pacify her, I just keep feeding her with her favorite tibits like corn flakes and the banana stars. Luckily I had brought excess. Keke…
In no time, we reached Marina Square, and it happened that there was some kind of Kids playground being set up at the center stage. Even when we bring her away to shop, she keeps waiting to go back there to play. We did not even have a chance to shop anywhere further.
Hubby just went to the Crocs shop to try on the shoes, while I bring Sherry out to see the stage and the performance. This is the first time I can decide on the shoe so quickly and even try for a little while. Keke… (It’s really very comfortable). Anyway Hubby is buying but I’ll still pay him a small sum. Keke… Wow, he spent $142 for 3 pairs of Crocs shoe… OMG!!!
Actually, his plan was to get each one of us a pair that includes Sherry and I simply refused. Cos her feet size will be still growing and it will soon be wasted. So he bought 2 pairs for himself and I bought a pair of slippers and none of Sherry.
After shoe shopping, we went to KFC for a little snack and bring her back to the playground again as I had promised. We let her played for awhile more and then we went back home. Since she fell asleep on the way home, we decided to detour to Cold Storage to get some groceries. Hubby had stayed in the car with her while I went to get the things and are back in about 20 minutes. Keke
It was around 530pm when we reached home, after settle her on the mattress, Hubby went to wash his car while I just laze around to watch TV. I was afraid to start my ironing fearing she will wake in anytime. But to my surprised, she slept thru till about 8pm! I should have started my iron! After she woke up, she had a rest before feeding her some dinner. We had given her lesser cos it was already very late.
By 10pm, she had no sign of sleepiness and just kept on playing with her Lego. I’m already very tired, so I just went to the room to have a nap. It was already 1130pm when they all come in to wake me. So quickly settle her for bed while Hubby went to make milk for her.. In no time, we are all in La La Land…

Fathers’ Day Celebration

This time is our turn to pay for the Fathers’ Day dinner since BIL had paid for the Mothers’ Day celebration that time. All of us had stayed home but Sherry only fell asleep around 430pm and we had to wake her up around 6pm.
This girl, she is good, she was not cranky when we waked her up from her sleep. She just is good to let us change her and then bring her out to the dinner venue. We had brought her porridge and just fed her there. She was enjoying herself thru out the night likewise for the adults watching her. We will consider that she is pretty well behaved thru out the dinner.
I hope Hubby will agree and bring her out more often in future. Keke…

Scared??

We had changed her Sunday lesson to Saturday cos we might be bringing her out shopping tomorrow.
Since Hubby will be going to service his car so he just alight us near the big staircase of the stadium. This is the first time that we are going there all by ourselves and as usual, the girl has so much fun.
Before we left for the lesson, she knows that she is going to TT and was very happy but she also mentioned that she was scared and wanted me to go with her! Aiyo, after 3 months, she’s still scared lei. Hai.. But once she is at the school, she is fine, playing non-stop and once she is out and I mention about school, she will tell me she is scared! I really don’t know if I should believe that she is really scared or not! Keke
Anyhow and anyway, we’ll still stick to our plan to bring her to school daily..

Keep my fingers crossed

Tonight will be the 3rd day in weaning Sherry off the pacifier.
Together with MIL, we had been trying our best to wean her off the pacifier since Monday. Although, she had constantly asked for it, we just tell her she had spoilt it or forgotten to buy it. We just came out with all sorts of reason not to give her the pacifier.
In the day, MIL will just try to give her more snacks than the usual days, while in the night; I just sing and accompany her to sleep to make her forget about it.
We could be successful as we’ll be home for the whole week. The day that she did not asked for the pacifier will be the day to celebrate. I hope it works.

Wonderful News

I had spoken to my FC on my salary again and they are willing to up my payroll by about 22%. Keke... He has brightened my day! Of cos I have to share with my dearies, and they are all so happy for me!
After such a long time, I’m at least seeing something decent going into my bank. The first thing that I have to do will be to re-instate my other insurance which had been long overdue.
Oh yes, after being converted to a permanent staff, I’m also able to enjoy the medical benefits, insurance coverage and also increase number of annual leave to 21 days annually. And he also mentioned that I might also be secured with an additional month of bonus by the end of the financial year. What wonderful news right!!!!
Actually it’s the appreciation that I’m really happy about. Keke

Important decision made

After sending her to Tumble Tots for about 3 months, MIL & I think that she is ready for the playgroup again. She had suggested that we should give another shoot but Hubby had his concern.
Anyhow, I had made enquries with regards to Tumble Tots Playgroup which they call Right Start. It will be daily sessions and the program seems quite interesting. The lesson plan looks something like this and I guess she might enjoy as there are more things to learn and do instead of just scooping the macaroni and playing with water and no interaction with others.

11.00-11.15 Assembly/Free Play
11.15-11.30 Circle time/Hello Song/Songs & Rhymes
11.30-12.00 Maths(Mon)/Letterland(Tues)/Literatur(Wed)/Letterland(Thur)/Math(Fri)
12.00-12.15 Snack Time
12.15-12.45 Physical Play(Mon to Wed) / Mandarin (Thurs & Fri)
12.45-13.00 Closing/Songs & Good Bye

I really hope that she is ready but in any case that she is not, we can transfer her back to the weekend program again. And the cycle starts again.
This time, even though, Hubby has his concern, we had come to a conclusion to send her and let her try again. The class will begin on the 26 June 2006. Everyone pray hard for me alright… Thanks…

Fathers’ Day celebration

Since Felicia did not come over to stay, we proceed on with our routine visit to mum’s place. Later this evening, we’ll be going to the same place to have dinner.
So we set off around 6 plus and luckily we are not the latest. This time round, the dishes are different but I still prefer the previous menu. This time there are a few dishes where the kids are not very keen with it, so most of the time, we had to finish them.. Wow, so full lei.. (fat die fat die).. keke
After dinner send sisters home since I’m picking up the weekly supply of Sherry’s fish and pork ribs. Grab all the stuff and off we went. Keke.. As usual, she just dozed off after I kept my eyes closed.

Disappointment

Today is the day to fetch my big baby to my place for a short stay over. But I’ve received a call in the morning saying that her daddy had back out at the very last minute and do not agree to let her come over now.
Hai… We are all so disappointed! She is ultimately upset over this issue and even passed some very angry remarks like not trusting them anymore! How could they do such a thing to a 12 year old girl! She is growing up and trying to trust them but they had been always breaking her faith in them.
I was discussing this issue with MIL and she also agreed that the whole family is just pushing her to the wrong path and there is nothing much we can do! The most we can just advise her but its not enough.. We are really worried that she might just go astray… Hai.. May be we are just thinking too much…

Promoted from walking to 2

Sherry had been promoted to another class from the walking to 2 lessons. The lesson plan is totally different from the previous lessons. This time, all the tumble tots are expected to follow instructions and parents will have to be there to guide them rather than to let them run about.
They have lesser free play, but I should say they have more constructive activities. Although the lesson is still 45 mins, it just seems longer and it more taxing on the parents. I’m looking forward to the day where I can just sit back relax and just watch her play. Keep my fingers cross.

Pot Luck cum birthday celebration

We just let her have lots of fun today. We should have thought of bringing her to the Tumble Tots today instead so that she can have enough rest on Sunday.
Most of the relatives arrived in the evening and each brought something to my place for dinner. After all of them had their dinner, we started to prepare for the cake cutting session. The girl had been very interested & anxious about the cake. She had taken a peek of it and keep asking me to eat eat… keke
After all the photo taking and singing of the birthday song, she blew the candle and it’s the cutting of the cake. Luckily we had opened the box about an hour earlier so that history will not repeat itself (not like last year) keke… It’s good to see that everyone enjoyed the cake… (good recommendation by dear Jan)… Really did not goes wrong with ice-cream cake… keke…
They all leave around 10 as no one was interested to play mahjong. After they all had left and after some cleaning up, she went to open her only present for the day (the rest had given cash). It was a piano and she enjoyed playing it very much…

Happy Birthday to my dearest princess

Happy birthday to you
Happy birthday to you
Happy birthday to Sherry Darling
Happy birthday to you…

Hope u like the pooh pooh cake that Mummy & Daddy had bought for you…. :)

On leave

I’m on leave to bring Sherry back to mum’s place for 3 reasons. Firstly, MIL wanted to wrap dumplings and she would prefer Sherry to be away from home for safety reasons. Secondly, there will be a gathering (only Hubby’s side) at my place for Sherry’s birthday tomorrow. Thirdly, we’ll be bringing her to the Tumble Tots on Sunday and then she’ll be very tired. So we had decided to bring her back to have a mini celebration @ mum’s place.
It was already past lunch time when I reached mum’s place. I took the opportunity to chat and updated my blog when Sherry was having her nap. By the time she woke up, it was almost evening and she went to wake her grandmother too. Keke.. nottie gal…
Hubby had only come over around dinner time and did not bring over the dumplings cos he had left home early to go car shopping?
We had left earlier than usual cos Hubby wanted to watch the show 大长今.

Yes, yes... Am back with Blogger...

During my 'stay' with wordpress, I noticed that it is not as user friendly as I thought it will be. So am back with blogger... kekeke...
Wordpress has its advantages but guess it takes some time for one to be familiar with. But time is something which I'm lacking now...
Anyway, blogger had been 'serving' me well and I'm happy to be back here again...

Surprised!!!

Almost abt 4pm I've received a call from MIL, its as follows :-

ME : yes mum

MIL: will u be home early today? (nice & happy tone)

ME : most likely yes. U going out?

MIL: I'll go sing karaoke if u are early, if not never mind.

I almost flipped off my chair...

ME : Ok, no problem, I'll be home in time.

MIL: Ok, I'll leave around 7pm

ME : Ok, see u later... Bye

Haha... Surprise right... Yes that is my MIL. If she is in a super duper good mood, she is very easy to get along but once she's in a foul mood, watch out!!!

Busy Busy

Today was such a busy day for me..
Morning was rushing for the training conducted by my FC which only end around 130pm. I thought, I'll be able to clear some work after lunch but was called into meeting with my FC and my manger... We were discussing about the job scope of another headcount and there might change my job scope.
At the end of the meeting, he handed me the letter of offer. But I was not quite pleased with the pay that they had offered to me. So I just causally asked if he can do something to it. To my surprise, he told me that he will speak to HR and try to get the market rate for me.. But of cos if they cannot offer me higher, I'll still sign the contract. keke..
Since I was not at my desk the whole day, I stayed back to rush some of my work... Luckily Sherry had not gone to bed by the time I reached home... Quickly had my dinner then settle her for bed time...

Normal Monday

I thought that I'll get my letter of offer today but the HR director had told me that she was pretty busy with some stuff and the shocking news is that she was unable to locate my personal file. OMG!!! Where had it gone to??? The only thing now is to wait...
I just contiune to clear my work and chat with the kahkis. Tomorrow will be a very quiet day cos Jan will be on leave, Careen had not gotten her laptop, Kat will be busy and I'll be away for training.
MIL was at YT waiting for me cos she wanted to get some groceries from NTUC. But I was unable to find them.. I had gone to the market, went into NTUC twice but still cannot find them. At last I found them standing at the newspaper stand waiting for me... Phew, if not dunno what will she grumble this time..
Quickly went for my shower, had my dinner then settled down to spend some time with little Sherry before she goes to bed...

Farm Mart

She seems to be enjoying her Tumble Tots session more every week (which is good news). I just wonder when will she be ready for school again... Hai...
Shoo her off to have her nap after lunch but she just refused to sleep even I had turned on the aircon.. It was around 345pm when Hubby came back and we decided to bring her out instead. We quickly went off the change and off to Farm Mart we went.
We reached there in no time but it was quite a disappointing trip. There are not many things left to see. A few rabbits, turtles and 3 goats. That's about it! What a disappointment! But Sherry seems to enjoy cos she had not seen the zoo. And her Daddy refused to bring her cos his colleague's girl fell ill after the visit to the zoo, the reason for air bone disease. OMG!!! spare me...
We just stayed for awhile and went back home. Once we are home, she asked for milk and nap for 3 hours flat, which means no dinner.
Even though she had just woken up from her nap, we still shoo her off to bed by 10pm... (cos we are tired.. keke)

Mum's Place

Its another weekly visit to mum's place.

Nothing much happened till about evening when Daddy brought Sherry down for a walk. She had been wanting me to buy her the ball so that she can play @ mum's place and I had refused and gave her lots of silly excuses. But my dearest Daddy had spoilt it totally. He had gotten what she wanted for her and the best thing is that he had not only got her 1 ball, he had gotten her 3 balls!!! Yes... tell me about it, pampered & spolit!

Since its just some balls for Sherry to play, I just keep quiet and laugh at him. Cos Sherry had changed her target and keep asking her grandfather to play ball with her... hahah...

Sherry's 2nd Birthday cake

We had some discussion on the party and had concluded that we will only get his side of the family involved. The reason being we had asked his cousin to try and ballot the bungalow @ Pasir Ris park on our behalf since we did not succeed with the one @ OCBC. So since he is already aware of this party it will not be nice not to invite them. In fact, the initial plan was not to invite any relatives to be fair but well, we have not choice. So this year, it will just be a very normal family gathering which means I cannot invite my kahkis too... Sob Sob...

This is the design of the ice-cream cake..

Chao Tar Tonic

Tonight will be the 2nd time in the month for me to have the tonic. Yes, I had been following this routine. Hopefully, I’ll remember to make it a point since it’s for my own good.
We went back home after we had bought what we wanted. Of cos, the first thing was to switch on the TV to watch her newly acquired Barney VCD while I went to have my shower. After dinner, I put all these, namely 6 slices of 当归, 6 南枣, a handful of 枸屺子 and of cos an egg into my cup while the pot water was set to boil at the stove. After I had poured some boiling water into the cup and then lowered the cup into the pot for double boil for an hour but MIL was saying that there were too much water in the pot and had scooped some out.
We had been constantly checking the water level and the fire. But when the time was up, we found that there was no water left and the pot was actually badly burnt! Oh my goodness, I did not even dare to lift up the lid of the cup to check the things inside. I was so afraid that it might just explode. Keke.. MIL took over and went to pour all the things out into the bowl while I went to settle Sherry for bedtime.
The strange thing is that there wasn’t a slightest taste of chao tar in the soup. Keke. It still taste as yummy… hee… quickly finish up all the soup & the egg and went back to Sherry…

No more 'mai' wor

I was watching this VCD with the little princess. It was showing the kids going to school and what’s happening in the classrooms too. So I just causally tell her that see all the kids are so happy to go to school, she should be going to school too. And for once, she did not say NO or MAI to me! She just smiled and looked at me… Kekeke… Does it mean that she is almost ready to go back to school? We just have to wait and see will be her reactions if one day, MIL is gamed enough to bring her to school again… *keep my fingers crossed, man…

Happy Mothers' Day

HAPPY MOTHERS' DAY to all mummies….

Since we had already gone back to Mum's place on friday so today will have to stay at home as I tot MIL will be home. But instead, she went out to sing karaoke @ her friend's house and then will come back to take her stuff for the singing lesson @ 7pm.
We just stayed at home, laze around, watch TV. Hubby and Sherry had their nap while I ironed all my clothes.
Evening is the same too… Play, watch telly & then bed time for all…

Mothers' Day Celebration.. Again...

This morning Hubby received a call from BIL asking us to meet him at Turf City instead of going to his house for dinner. We make sure Sherry has ample rest and food before we left the house. She had about 3 hours nap and by the time she had finished her milk it was almost 530pm. We did not have ample time so each of us was giving a task. MIL will cook her porridge, I will shower her (before I had mine) while Hubby just need to get ready and wait for us.I should say that this girl did behave herself at dinner time. We fed her porridge while we had ours at the same time. She was very fasinated to see so many types of seafood swimming in the tank. The food was good and Sherry had a great time looking at the live seafood… kekeke…

p.s. alamak, eat so much sure fat die fat die….

FIRST TIME SHOWER!!!

I really have to book this day.

Since there isn't any vegetable for Sherry's porridge, so I went to the market at the same time get breakfast for all of us. MIL had gone to perm her hair and Hubby said that he can handle and ask me to go ahead.
When I was home with everything in my hands, the both of them are not in the living room. Quickly put down all the things and found them in the bed room. To my surprised, my Hubby had actually bathed my gal.. Yes yes, am making a big fuss but this is the first time that he actually do some physical thing rather than just theoritical.
I was very happy that he did a pretty good job though he wanted me to finish up whatever he had left. It turned out that Sherry had poo-pooed and there was no one around to clean her up so he had no choice… keke..

Well done, Hubby… keke

Mothers' Day Celebration

We had to call off the trip to the temple since Sherry was having her nap on the way to mum's place. But she woke up when I had alighted from FIL's cab. When we were home, put her into the sarong while I quickly have my lunch. Her 阿姨 played with her before I chased her to have another nap as we'll be out for dinner @ Simpang Bedok to celebrate Mothers' Day.
Mum woke up @ 530pm to cook her porridge while I bathe her. After all done, quickly give her the poridge as she was watching the TV and we are all waiting for my little sister to come back. After everything done, we left for the venue when Hubby arrived.
We are the last to arrive at the place but its alright, we are still on time. The dinner will only begins @ 7pm. Sherry is like the star of the night. She is always not at my sight for the whole night. She is always been carried around almost throughout the whole night. Kekeke
After all done, we send mum & sister back home at the same time to pick up the weekly fish supply for Sherry, then off we go… As usual, she KO on the way back home….

Ever of PH

I really don't have the mood to work since today is the eve of the PH (Vesak Day). kekkee… Took the opportunity to laze a little and chatted more with the gals. It had been a long since I last chatted so much with them.
Today still go back alone, cos Kat went to meet her ah lao. Jan went off @ 12pm cos there was a food fiesta @ LV. The Rays will be preparing some food. kekek.. sounds kinda fun… & Hubby had a dinner appt cos there was a farewell dinner for his supervisor.
Went back and quickly settled down for dinner and spend the rest of the evening with that little gal.

Nottie Sherry

Last evening, she only drank about 3oz of the milk and wanted to have her pacifier. If Daddy were to be in the room she will definitely cry for help. But luckily we were alone. Of cos she throw her trantrum and insist of having the pacifier. I refused to give in and told her that she will have it once she finished all the milk. She has no choice but to finish all and even with her eyes closed, she still asked for her pacifier! kekekek…. She fell asleep once I gave her what she wanted..
I was still unwell, so once she fell asleep, I also went to bed and rest (after medication)…. Hopefully I'll recover soon..

Take the risk

We had been so upset that Sherry had not been able to finish her feed for the past 1 week. We had concluded that we should take the risk and changed her FM to something else instead of Gain.
After dinner, the whole family proceed to the NTUC. While Daddy pushed her around the supermarket, I went round taking the stuff that I need to buy. The last on the list is which FM to get for that little gal. We had a hard time deciding, finally, we bet on Enfagrow (Vanilla). We took the risk that she might just reject the milk like she did when I give her Mamil Gold previously.
Before she went to bed, we let her try out the milk. To our surprised, she seems to like it and she managed to finish all of it!
Hooray…. but of cos we are also wary that she might changed her mind overnight. So keep our fingers cross. We will only announce that we had won the battle when she's done with at least half a tin of FM… pray hard hard for us, ok.. :)

Unwell

I was feeling a little under the weather since morning. So did not do much but to laze around @ mum's place while Sherry was having her nap.
She wanted to watch the 'wheels on the bus' so sister switch it on for her while I'm able to have my nap.
In the evening we still went to his cousin house for pot luck and left the place around 9 plus.

My little cousin's 1st month celebration

We had gone to my youngest uncle’s place for ‘the’ gathering. It was his little princess 1st month celebration.
It was the first time that I’ve seen her. She is so tiny like a little kitten. OMG!!! She is even smaller size that my little gal. She really reminded me about my little darling. Lots of fond memories just flow back.
Both the adults & kids had their fair share of fun & happiness. We left the place around 9pm and of cos, she fell asleep on the way home again… Kekeke

Pleasant Surprise

Nope, its not flowers.
Neither is it money nor gifts.
It's a LUNCH DATE from the Hubby of mine!
Around 11 plus, I had received a call from the Hubby of mine asking if he can bring me out for lunch. Oh my goodness, did I hear wrongly? I almost fell off from my chair. Alright, that is so mean of me but its the truth. I had been working here for the past 1 year but never once did he call and asked me out for lunch. Have to mark this SPECIAL day on my calendar as WENT LUNCH WITH HUBBY... keke...
Some evil thoughts are floating in my mind liao... Does he has something up his sleeves? Or has he done something which he is not supposed to? Hmm.... I know I should not have these thoughts but they just don't go away.
Anyhow, we had an expensive lunch @ Sushi Teh and I hope he enjoy as much as I did.... *Blurp... * Oops... :p

All the bear fault

We had gone to West Mall Precious Thoughts to change for the clothes that I’ve bought for Sherry from Raffles City. At the shop, I was busy checking and thinking of what to exchange while the girl was looking around at all the bears sitting on the shelf with MIL overseeing her.
While I was at the counter making the exchange and some enquires, something caught my eye. MIL is paying for something. It was a bear that was in Sherry’s arms. I was too late to stop the transaction! I was fuming mad inside!
I asked MIL why you bought that bear for her. Her answer was that because she did not want to put it back! What an answer!!! RUBBISH!!! I trust that if you had told her nicely she will understand and just put back the bear. I had tried that for so many times when Sherry went shopping with me.
She does understand that shopping does not equate to buying thing. I was so angry and told MIL that she is really spoiling Sherry. So if she wanted the whole West Mall, will she buy that for her too?!! Yes, I know, that is too harsh and it’s a trivial matter but I do not wish that my daughter to grow up like a spoilt brat and throw tantrum when we do not want to get the stuff that she wanted!
In the night, before we went to bed, I just casually tell Hubby that sometimes he should tell his mum not to pamper Sherry in such a way. He still has the cheek to tell me, your mum also does the same. Wow, that’s it; he is adding oil to the fire man. I was damn pissed off and told him to give an example on the comment that he had just passed! His reply was how would he knows, may be she had done in his absence. I replied angrily, once a week pampering will not do more harm than everyday pampering, ok! And he will not believe if I would tell him that my mum had not been like this so far! So as usual, he just kept quiet, I carried on to say that if he does not mind his daughter to grow up and behaved like a spoilt brad then I have nothing to say! We just went to bed being angry with each other!!! ARRRRRHHHHHH!!!!
Let’s see how much Sherry played with that $20 bear!!! Still angry and upset!!!

Total Failure

I was still so hopeful while traveling home but all my hope was dashed when I saw her sleeping on the sofa with the ‘precious’ pacifier in her mouth. Wonder who the one that say she is totally rejecting the new ones?
She was happily sucking and even tells me that she has a new one and the old one spoilt already (faintz). Can still tell me that the new one has a bear on it!
Her habit is so strange; she will not take it in the night and will only love it in the day! It looks like we have to try harder to make her kick the habit.

Hopefully Sherry can do it!

This morning I then realized that one of the pacifiers was torn. She must have torn it last evening. We saw her biting very hard and even warn her that if she tore it, we are not going to buy any replacement for her. (dunno she understand or not lah). We are so happy that this could be the best time to wean her off the pacifier.
Last Friday, I intended to get another set of NUK pacifier to standby in case she has torn the old ones. But Hubby disagreed and asked me to get a set of Avent’s instead. His reasoning was that this set of teats is slightly longer than the NUK ones, and so his little one will not suck so hard. The other reason was we might be able to wean her off totally if she rejects this set. Keke… (Clever Daddy)
So this morning, put the plan into action. I washed & sterilized the new ones as per normal. I also told mil about the torn pacifier and she is more than happy to co-operate with us.
Just now, I called home, she told me that Sherry totally reject the new pacifier. She seems to be accepting the fact that she has torn the old one. Since she was out in the morning (went to the market) and was home not long, mil is still keeping her fingers cross that she may be able to wean off soon… Kekeke..

1st day back to work after super long weekend

Since today is the 1st day back to work, I was busy clearning my work and so not much of chatting with the gals. But in the morning, I was still being shoo-ed off by Jan dear. Dun mistaken, it is definitely of good cause. She shoo-ed me off to rush my work as I know they all cannot bear to see me rushing like mad and working late into the night (see, me thick skin).. keke... So quickly exit the window and get down to my work.
When come evening time, I can take my 'revenge' to shoo her back... haha...

Happy Birthday, Sister

Happy Birthday to you
Happy Birthday to you

Happy Birthday to you..

Enjoy your day and be wiser liao hor... older liao lor... keke

Stay @ home sunday

I had missed Kat's call as I was in the shower. So when I was out, Hubby told me that Kat said to meet her at 1st floor without mentioning it's our block and not at Tumble Tots. So when I press the B1 button in the lift, he said again, press 1 lei, Kat waiting for us there lei! Alamak, he did not say clearly, how would I know lei! keke
So we all went to Tumble Tots happily in the car, but Sherry seems to be a little disturbed when Kat mentioned the word 'school' to Shannon. She turned and looked at me. So I assured her that we are going to Tumble Tots and not to school. Hai... dunno what to do with her lei...
At the tumble tots, she did not enjoyed as much, she is like kind of sticky and refused to work on some workstation. Well, no choice lah, have to slowly build up her confidence level again.
I did my iron while Hubby went to wash his bigger baby while Sherry had her afternoon nap. In the evening, we went to the Econ shop near to Kat's place to get the Gain IQ but they do not have stock for the bigger tin, so no choice but to get the smaller one instead.
We had an early night, as Sherry did not have a very long afternoon nap.

Painful Saturday

The 3 of us had arranged to meet at Hougang Mall as we need to get the birthday cake for my younger sister. We had asked her to come along to make her choice but end up, we had bought a ice-cream cake instead.
After we got what we wanted @ the NTUC, I went to GNC to get some vitamins for myself and there is the place where I hurt my big toe! The whole piece of wood from the low showcase dropped onto my big toe... OUCH!!!!!! Out of a sudden, my whole toe went numb and I was unable to walk for that couple of seconds.
It was when I was applying oiniment onto my toe that I realised it was slightly swollen... pain pain... sob sob...
So we celebrated her birthday and this is the first time that we had to fight for the cake... kekeke... and mum said that she would like to have that for her birthday celebration too... Yummy Yummy...

Surprise Surprise

Since we had taken the day off, Careen & I had arranged to meet for breakfast at Far East Plaza so that Jan can sneak out to meet us. After that, Careen & I proceed to shop @ Taka while Jan went back to the office and wait for lunch time... keke..
I managed to get what I had wanted to get since my birthday, yes a wallet. The best part is that I only pay $0.40 for this REAL Renoma wallet. The orinigal price was $90.40 after a 20% discount and I had paid $90 by voucher and so $0.40 cash... kekeke...
After shopping around, it was about time to meet Hubby at Raffles City for tim sum. He really surprised me lei. I never would have expected that he will take half day off to meet me to eat & shop around. We shopped around and left around 4 plus. Sherry was having her nap when we are home.
We just spend the evening playing and watching the telly.... keke...

On Leave - Back to mum's place

MIL had told me to take the day off as she had some appointments fixed for the day. Since Hubby is unable to get his day off today, I went back to mum's place. I was busy chatting with the gals while Sherry had her nap.
So sorry ladies, we had to change the plans as Hubby's boss had approved his half day on Friday. And he wanted to meet me instead of going out to shop for the stuff of the car, which came as a surprise to me!
We had dinner and then went over to the 妈祖庙 to offer our prayers. That silly girl had never seen an opera show before, she was very facinated by it.. kekeke...
Hubby came to fetch us around 9 plus after his work...

Busy Wed

I've given myself the dateline to finish all the AP by today so that I can go on 2 days leave without worrying about the work piling up.
Not much of chatting with the gals, Kat is also busy with her work. Luckily I had push on the super speed button, I've complete all my payments by lunch time. So I can rest & relax for the next few hours.
We had arranged for a meet up on Friday, but... but.. my Hubby surprised me! He was supposed to take leave on Thurs to accompany the both of us and Friday will be a day for myself. But his boss did not approval his Thurs leave and asked him to go on Friday half day instead and he agreed! So there goes our gathering. So sorry ladies, I did not want it this way but no choice. I cannot reject him can I, cos this is the first time (after Sherry is born) that he asked me out for couple time. I know you gals will understand, right. But of cos I still feel very bad for cancelling the appt. Next month lah, we'll plan for next month (and not to plan ahead, I remember that).
I've arranged to meet Kat early but because of my leave application that had gone missing that delayed me back in the office. So only managed to meet her around 630pm. As usual, we yakked all the way home and then parted at the bus stop as I'm going into the supermarket.
To my surprised, MIL was planning to go out (but she did not tell me), so had a quick shower so that she can leave the house early and then had my dinner in front of the TV to accompany that little girl. At around 9pm, I told her to keep all her toys as we are getting ready to go to bed. Both of us were asleep even before Hubby was home... La la land...

Tuesday, April 18, 2006

Late Tuesday

It's a normal Tuesday in the office, nothing much & did not even chat much with the gals.
Today will have to leave on the dot to go for my long overdue facial. I've already changed about 4 times for this particular appt. But anyhow, I've made it today.
As usual, I'm almost late for my appt. Quickly settle down and start my relaxing evening. In the midst of the cleaning, I mentioned that I would like to try the waxing of the underarms. Kekeke... I'm just being lazy and tired of removing them so often. Of cos it's also becos I've more cash to spend this month, so the thought of wasting $$ is there.
Anyhow, I have done it! It's not so painful as I thought it will be. The pain is still bearable. (hmm, what will be more painful than the 5 months of contractions plus the weekly jab during my pregnancy?)
So after the appt, went to the supermarket to get some ham for breakfast and also some other groceries. By then, it was already 815pm but Hubby is not leaving the office by 9pm so he asked me go back home on my own. keke... I'm just lazy so I took a cab back instead of the train. I had convinced myself that it will shorter the travelling time so that I can spend more time with Sherry before she goes to bed. (me & my excuses)... keke...

Quiet Monday

This morning, I just arrived into my office, my phone rings. Its Jan she is not well and so are the Rays. But she did send them to school, so that she can have some rest. The next moment, my mobile beeped. Its Careen she is also not working cos she is unwell too. So down 2 and left Kat & me.
We did not chat much, guess we are both busy and quickly settle most of my work so that I can leave early to meet Kat and go back together.
But that idiot sales manager wanted me to issue an invoice for the training conducted tomorrow, so no choice right, have to do for him lor. So still meet Kat @ 630pm instead.
In the evening, my hubby surprised me again. He said that he'll be home for dinner as he is tired and don't feel like working late this evening. keke. But I still did not wait for him to have dinner cos I wanted to have more time to play with Sherry... hee hee..
Tonight is another early night, by 1030pm we are already in bed.

Stay @ home Sunday too

As usual, we went to the Tumble Tots for our weekly lesson. Kat had brought Shannon there for her trial lessons with Serene too. The next moment I turn, I saw her ah lao too… keke… But I was concentrating more on Sherry so we did not chat much.
We parted after the lesson had ended. We had to go back home quickly as I’ve left the stove on with the smallest fire to cook the stock for Sherry’s porridge. So we rush back home to check that out.
After lunch, we went to change the bed sheets in Sherry’s room and that girl is more that happy to help, of cos it’s 越帮越忙. So we decided to put her into the playpen, turn on the TV and keep her busy there. But the next moment we went to peep at her, she is already in La La Land.
After all the changing, Hubby proceed to vacuum the rooms but not the living room as Sherry was still having her nap. Once he is done with that, he went down to wash his car, while I stayed home to iron my clothes.
There was loud thunder again while I was preparing to cook dinner. This time, I’m unable to hug my girl like yesterday, she can n told me she is scared. So I told her, Sherry, you scared then you hold on to mummy’s leg lah, then u not scared liao. She really hugged so tightly like a kola bear when there’s loud thunder again. So cute lei, I told my mum about Sherry and she just say, like mummy like daughter… kekek.. yes, I’m also afraid of the thunder when I was a little girl.
By the time, Hubby came back, Sherry was having her milk feed in the kitchen. He went to continue with his vacuuming in the living room and Sherry went to follow him around. After all these, he still come & help to cook… so sweet of him hor. So I only need to fry the cod fish and we can settle for dinner in no time.
After dinner, we just laze around in the living room watching tv and have some fruits, soon its bed time for Sherry.. kkeek…

Stay @ home Saturday

Nothing much happened except that we had to cancel the plans of going to the Waterloo Street to get some clothes for Sherry as FIL had slept till 4pm! And it was also pouring so heavily with super duper loud thunder.
Sherry was so scared of the thunder that she hugged me so tightly until the both of us fell asleep on the sofa. We had also planned to go to the Causeway Point Mothercare to get the sleeping suit for Sherry but she was having her nap.
It was already almost 5pm when I was woke up. Quickly went to prepare to cook dinner, and with Hubby’s help, dinner was done in no time.
Finally, she woke up from her nap at around 7pm, we let her settled down before feeding her rice. After our dinner, we had decided to pop by Causeway point. Quickly get ready and off we went.
It was so crowded and lots of kiddy rides, so went to Mothercare and found what we wanted. Although, its pretty pricy but I think MIL will also support me to get them. They come in 3 in a pack and they cost $57 per pack. The best thing is that they have sizes up till 36 months! Can u imagine, 36 months! Yippie!!! I’ve already decided to get that for Sherry and immediately went round to look for the prettiest designs, bought 2 packs from the rack and also reserved 1 pack from the warehouse. Keke… So in total, I’ve just spent $104 in the next second.
Since we are there, went into Kiddy Palace to see if there are any nice shoes for her but none of them caught my eye. So we decided to go back instead.
We have an early night despite Sherry had her nap till 7pm. Keke..

Good Friday = Mum's palce

Today is a PH, MIL had left for her short trip to the Malaysia, and will only be back on Sunday night. Hubby was supposed to send her to the pick up location @ AMK MRT but FIL offered to send her. Keke… so nice of him hor.
We had already make plans to be going back to mum’s place for dinner so I informed FIL that I’ll be only cooking white porridge and he is fine with it.
Sherry stayed at home with Daddy while I went to the market to get some vegetables cos I might not be able to go on Saturday. After all the marketing, came back to prepare the stock for Sherry’s porridge.
She fell asleep after lunch and only woke up around 4 plus. Quickly get ready and we managed to leave the house around 5 plus. Mum was still cooking when we reached home. Dad had also woke up from his nap to wait for his little grand-dotter.
After Sherry had her dinner with the daddies and then later will be the mummies turn to have ours. Sherry had been taking the coins in n out of the kitchen to show that she is ready & waiting for her grand-pa to bring her down for the kiddy rides.
I was busy doing the e-filing of the income tax while the 2 old folks spend time playing with that little girl. That was also the time when I realized that my FC had rewarded me with the 1 month bonus… $$ sitting in my account… keke..
After awhile, we left around 9 plus as tomorrow is Hubby’s working Saturday.

WONDERFUL NEWS FOR THE WEEK!!!!

I’ve got my bonus! YES, BONUS!!!
It had been like 4 years ago since I took my bonus. Not to mentioned that it had been split into 3 months for that 1 month’s pay, yes it had been that miserable for me. The 2 years in that company had been my worst working life ever! Ok, so much of history, now back to my BONUS.
Firstly, my FC came to tell me he will be awarding me with bonus, I almost fainted in his office. Keke… (pardon me to be so夸张) I was so surprised & just looked at him with my biggest smile. He said that he will reward me cos he appreciate all my efforts for the past 1 year.
Secondly, he said that he will also bring up my confirmation to a permanent position instead being a contract. I’m flying into heaven again. What wonderful boss I have!! Keke
He did not mention the amount that he will be rewarding me but I’m only expecting like a couple of hundreds, BUT BUT he gave me 1 month! YES, 1 full month of bonus. This is like drop from the sky. I was so happy!
But Hubby said that I behaved like my FC had just given me a few thousands of dollars. He just simply does not understand my happiness. I’m happy cos I feel that I’m being appreciated by my boss, its not the monetary gains that I’m going for. Do u gals understand, what I’m trying to say?
Anyhow, MIL & my parents are all happy for me & I know u gals are also happy for me… Thanks.. kekeke

Almost back to the normal week – 10 to 13 Apr

I could relax a little bit more this week since I’m done with the close, and now it’s my FIN Manager’s job to finalize it. The one thing that I’m busy with this week is all the cheques to be issued, cos my MD will be traveling again which means there will be shortage of signature again.
I had to rush again cos this is another short working week as Friday is a PH so not much of chatting again…

I’m now feeling so physical drained, but what to do, I’ve got no choice, we are now rushing for the 1st quarter close. Just hope that all these will pass quickly....Khakis sorry unable to caught up with u gals… but I know u gals do understand… keke..

Excursion to warehouse

KC Dat had given us today to go n pack our archive documents into their boxes for them to keep into our crate. I had arranged with June to meet her there instead of coming into the office first.
I was there slightly earlier than 10am so I start the ball rolling hoping to complete all these by noon. Shortly, June arrived, since the 2 uncles refused us to help them to move the documents into the boxes, we could only do the labeling. But when it comes to the financial records, I went to pack it myself cos I would be able to pack them in accordance to what was required.
We managed to finish packing by 1130pm and we hopped into the cab and off to the office we went. Quickly settled down and work hard and fast again cos it’s almost my dateline.

How could I live without U... Gals....

Gals, how can I live without u all... I just freezed out when I stepped into the house. Sunflowers with 3 bears!!!! OMG!!!! I really cannot believe my eyes. At that moment, I cannot be even bothered with anything else! The whole world just seems to have stopped for that split seconds.
Gals, Thanks so much for all the effort, u gals really know how to brighten up my day (oops should be night)… keke..
Quickly took out my handphone to take a picture of the flowers given by my 3 buddies. (sorry ladies, have stay tuned for the photo). I was already smiling n grinning from side to side, nothing else matters. I’m like flying up into the sky.. Went on to thank all the 3 of them via sms, at that very moment, how I wish we are all logged onto the msn and we can just chat on n on again.
After I’m back to earth, quickly went to have my shower, dinner and then spend the beautiful evening with my little princess.
Oh yes, the thoughtful one, even help me to think of an excuse for receiving such beautiful flowers. Its here to congratulate my confirmation of my job after 1 year of being a contract. Keke… so clever hor… keke...

7… am or pm???

MIL had told me that she was going for karaoke session last night, but today I totally forgotten about it.
During lunch I went to Natures’ farm to get the yummy bears for Kat & Careen as the offer will ends on 31st Mar. So we had arranged to meet at JE @ 640pm. Since we had not met for a long time, we sat down to have a little chat. It was almost 7 that I received this @#%& call…

Phone ring…

Me :- Hello mummy
MIL :- Where are you? (angry tone)
Me :- I’m @ JE, will be home soon..
MIL :- I ask u to come at 7 lei, and not 7am u know!?
Me :- Ok lah, reaching home soon (puzzled & fuming mad)

She was just going for a karaoke session, what's the big deal. If it was other important appt, u would have reminded me when I called home on the same day and of cos I'll make sure that I'm home in time. I called Hubby immediately after I've hang up the phone. Told him what has happened and asked him to tell MIL to bring Sherry to YT instead of waiting for me at home.
BUT... she did not!!! Kat & I search the whole station and could not find them. So I suspected that she was still home and quickly walked home after bidding goodbye to Kat. True enough, she is there sitting on the sofa with a super black face! So I went in talked to Sherry and tell her that she can go off liao.
I was still fumming mad that I was not even hungry to have my dinner. I think Sherry knows that I was upset and she had been behaving her quite well. By the time when Hubby was home, she was already in La La Land and then I went to have my dinner cum supper...

Busy work week

This week is a super busy week for me. Firstly, we had just shifted to our new office. Secondly, I was back from my one week leave. Thirdly, it’s almost end of the month! So adding all together, busy busy busy n nothing but busy clearing work! I was so busy until I did not have the time to chat with my khakis… boo hoo hoo….
To add on to all these, Sherry was unwell since Sunday. I guess could be due to the short swimming session she had at Susie’s place. Well, I thought to let her have some fun and to have a dip in the pool but who knows she has been unwell since then. She had a slight fever on Saturday night and Hubby did not want to give her the medication! We waited till Sunday night when her temperature shot up again. This time, although she was not running a fever constantly, I insisted to give her the medication! But it was too late, her fever bloomed on Monday.
MIL was back from her trip and she brought her to the doctor and was told that her fever was around 39 degrees and was given some strong medication to bring it down. Luckily the fever went off on Tuesday evening but to be on the safe side, we gave her another dosage on Wednesday morning. And after all these, she developed cough & a slight runny nose. Hai… Mummy could not sleep well as I keep thinking that it’s my fault to bring her to the pool and she must have caught a cold then!
In short, this week had been the worst work week, on one hand; I’m rushing my work in the office and on the other, worried about Sherry as she is unwell.
Anyway, I’m glad that it’s all over now and she is fine and getting better with her cough..

Back to work in the new office

Today I’m back to work after my long holiday which I had spent most of the time at home with Sherry. We had official moved to the new office and most of the colleagues loved it very much. So far, we had received lots of positive comments about the office and most of them are very pleased with the seating arrangement except of one person. Anyhow, who cares with what is he thinking?
Although, I’m sitting near the reception area with June but we are both hidden in the room and no one is able to see us. We are like tacked in a corner... keke... I like this arrangement. Likely I’ve made the right choice to take the 2nd seat instead of the 1st seat near the door. This seat has a better 风水, cos I do not need to faced the wall when I work and people cannot stand behind me to see all the confidential things that I’m doing! Horary!!
I’ve spent 2 hours to unpack all my stuff and was so busy throughout the day to clear all my work. Luckily I managed to clear some emails last week and now just all the paperwork..
Left office around 9pm, went to meet ah lao and Sherry was already asleep when we reached home… tired and sleepy, quickly had some late dinner (may should say supper) den went off to La La land…

5th day – meet up with Jan & Mum's place Again Again

It has been a long while since the last time we met, so since I’m on leave and intending to bring Sherry to Orchard Road for window shopping, I’ve arranged to meet Jan for lunch. It was already almost 12pm when we are ready to leave the house and of cos with the slow moving vehicle, it was already 1215pm when we reached the train station. We are in the train quickly sms Jan to tell her that we will be slightly late.
We went to Pepper Lunch and Sherry has lots of fun playing with the rice after she had her share. After our lunch, we went to browse through the Baby fair but there isn’t anything much to buy. Time files when we had company, soon it’s 2pm and it’s time for Jan to say bye and head back to the office. We continue to walk around in Taka before I received that Hubby will not be home for dinner. In this case, called my mum telling her that I’ll be home for dinner again!
Since both of us are getting a little tired, we headed off to take the NEL back to Hougang. Sherry fell asleep while waiting for the train, guess she must be very tired... keke… We alight at Kovan and waited for around 10 mins for a taxi. She continued to sleep even though I put her down into the sarong.
It was almost 6pm when she woke up and she had taken a 3 hour nap due to the little shopping trip. Haha… Soon, its dinner time, and we had been giving her rice instead of porridge for the past 2 days.
Today, Hubby managed to leave slightly early than the past 2 days, so he came over to pick us home.

4th day - Mum's Place AGAIN??

Sherry refused to go to school today, keep telling me ‘mai mai mai’, no matter how much I coaxed her, she just simply refused. Instead she wants to go to my mum’s place. So out of no choice, brought her back to mum’s place and of cos I brought my laptop along, so that I can chat with the gals when she is having her nap.
She seems to have lots of fun at mum’s place till almost 9 plus. But Hubby was still busy with his system testing that he did not come over to pick us. So I’ll have to carry Sherry, a bag and the laptop bag home. So heavy lei, my shoulders are aching..
It was already almost 11pm when Hubby came back and both of us are already in La La land..

3rd day = Mum’s place

I’ve arranged for FIL to send us to mum’s place earlier than usual as I’ve also asked my mummy to cook lunch for Sherry. I was home around 12 plus but they are not home cos today happened to be my grand-uncle’s 49th day.
Sherry fell asleep without taking much of her porridge I think she must be feeling full after finished 2 baby biscuits. After she woke up, I just let my parents take care of her while I chatted with the gals. It had been 2 long days without chatting. OMG!! How I miss u gals.. I know u gals also miss me too right… keke… :p
After dinner, they wanted to go to granny house so we all went to Siglap. She was playing with ball & a motor car that she enjoyed so much and refused to go back home. Hubby has to work pretty late so my auntie sent me home instead. It was already 10 plus when I reached home and Hubby was just about to leave the office. So late… hai… By the time he reached home it was almost 1130pm and we chatted a little after he showed me his letter on his bonus. Not bad, he still maintained like last year around but I know he will be spending a fraction of this money on his audio system in his new car. Hai..

SAHM – 2nd day

Today after sending Sherry to school, we went to the NTUC together to get some stuff to cook dinner. After our breakfast, I quickly prepare Sherry’s porridge. Hubby went to pick her and she was had been crying during her snack time. Poor gal..
When she came back, fed her porridge and she fell asleep after having her bathe. I started the routine of washing and cleaning the house.
By 5pm I’m in the kitchen busy with Sherry’s porridge and also to begin to prepare dinner. Tonight, my Hubby surprised me by tell me that he will cook dinner while I feed Sherry’s her dinner. Keke..After dinner just play with her then chase her to sleep… keke..

First day as SAHM

This morning MIL went for her trip liao, and today also marks the beginning of me being a SAHM for one week.
Hubby is still on leave, so he looks after Sherry while I went to the market to buy some stuff to cook dinner. The busy day begins after I came back from the market. I managed to clean the house, wash some clothes and cook both Sherry’s porridge & dinner too. Although, it’s very tiring but I’m happy that I managed to do all these chores. I had not been doing all these ever since I’ve got preggie with Sherry so can u gals imagine how long was that? Keke..
It has been a long while since I whipped up some food for Hubby looks like he enjoyed the dinner. The way I cook is totally different from MIL, hers are the complex cooking whereas mine is the simple fare… keke…
After dinner, we just laze around and let Sherry play a little before chasing her to bed cos she has to go to school tomorrow.

Sunday, March 12, 2006

Sun – At home

We wanted to go out for a ride, but we call off the idea and just laze at home.
MIL went out so I started my days of being a SAHM an day earlier, keke…
MIL will be going for her trip tomorrow and we had asked FIL to send her instead cos she wanted to pick her brother too.
Anyway, today is just a family, lazing around day…

Saturday, March 11, 2006

Sat = Mum’s place.

As usual, today is mum’s place day, and as usual, FIL sent us there. Keke… This evening we also bring the parents out for a spin in the new car…. And he also kenna summon.. haha… we had been parking without valid carpark coupon for the longest time and today it’s so special that he kenna. Haha..
Left mum’s place around 9 plus.

Happy 16th Anniversary

Today, 11th March is the day that I’ve known him for 16 years. Time really flies so fast… hai…

New Baby…

THE day is here. Today is the day for Hubby to collect his car. He had been waiting for the longest time for this new baby of his.
Around 11am, he went to Turf City to collect his new baby and around 6 plus, he came and fetch me home.. keke
To my surprised, the dealer had given him the wrong registration number. It should be SDG9670C, instead.

Packing day

I’ve declared today as a packing day for me, as I’ll be on leave from Monday onwards so I’ll have to pack all Finance stuff by today.
Not much chatting with the gals as I’m always not at my desk, packing all the things. I was thinking that I might have to stay late to pack but by 5pm I’m already done with my packing.
Oh my gosh, I’m only here for last than 1 year and I already had about 5 boxes of things, and of cos that include all the Finance files. But that do not include the 2005 set of financial statements which they will have to be send to the warehouse directly.

How to keep the fire burning in the relationship?

Someone called in to say, couple time i.e., making time for each other without kid. I feel that it’s very true and important but too bad it will no happen on me, Hubby feels that it’s unfair to MIL to look after his princess while we spend leisure time. How sad right and how I wish we could see eye to eye on this issue, but this is not the case.
Is there any other better suggestion out there???

Insecurity?

Why don’t u trust your husband, is it insecurity or you know that he’ll cheat on you? This is the topic from Class 95 FM. FD had left this question for the listeners to think about. Here’s how I felt.
Too much expectation would make one feels insecure. The expectation now is to be a superwoman, on one hand, she has to be the mummy to both him and the kids and of cos to be a wife to be there whenever he needs her both mentally and physically, she also has to be his support pillar, listener, anger venting machine and lots more. She even has to look good and maintain her figure even though his has grown sideways. From day one, women had been known as the weaker sex no matter how much we try to prove ourselves, which is so sad!
As for the second part of the question, even if the husband were to tell a lie about anything under the sun I would say that he already had broken the trust especially from someone so dear to him. It is always hard for a woman to let go and pretend that nothing had happened.
No matter what kind of cheat, be it mentally or physically, all these can be classified as one being unfaithful to the other. What happened to those marriage vows that were taken, are they all forgotten or just gone with the wind! Well, like I also say, if someone wants to cheat on you, there are always thousands and one reasons for his action. So anyone can suggest any preventive measures to take on this issue??

Car Plate Number...SGD9670G…

I just received a call from Hubby that at last, we have a number to our new car. This number was long overdue. The dealer said that we should be able to have it by the end of Feb before LTA system was shut down for upgrading, but it was not the case. I think he must have not submitted that on time before the shutting down and when the system is up & running LTA had changed most of the forms which Hubby had signed long ago. So that day, we went down to sign on the new forms again before he can do the submission to LTA again.
After all these, today we managed to get our number plate… SGD9670G… long overdue… Wish us luck!!! But the dealer did mention that the car will only be ready by the end of the week. Hopefully he can get his car quickly, I noticed that his neck had grown longer these few weeks. Keke…

Blue & Busy Monday

More busy then any other month, did not do much except for cutting invoices for the month and prepare those invoices to be accrued for the Feb 2006 too.
Did not chat much with the gals, I guess we are all pretty tied up with work. Jan had taken the day off the rest & also to have a day to herself, well she deserved the break. She had been running & rushing around when the Rays started their full day child care. Hope you are feeling better & more refreshed tomorrow, dear…. Keke
Hubby has begun his block leave this week and Monday & Tuesday of the following week. Next week, MIL will be traveling to 海南岛 for her 7 days trip. Luckily Hubby is still on leave on Monday to send her to the airport as her flight is at 0835 and would need to be at the airport pretty early in the morning. I should be giving it a miss as Sherry should be still asleep.
At the end of the day, did not manage to meet Kat to go back tog as she tompang her colleague’s car to JE. In fact at JE, we took the same train but different cabin, so we still meet at YT. Haha…
Went back home, quickly shower and have my dinner den start to spend some quality time with Sherry before chasing her to go to bed cos I’m already very tired.

Short But Fruitful Shopping Trip @ Tangs

Hubby had agreed to bring us to Tangs today so after Sherry’s nap, we all went to get ready for our short shopping trip. We left home around 4pm but we are not worried about Sherry’s dinner as she can take rice if we did not have time to cook her porridge.
When we arrived, it was not so crowded at the baby’s section, after grabbing what I wanted; we went to the toys sections. It was in the plan to get something for Sherry as I noticed that she is lack of toys of her age. I had eyed on an alphabet keyboard, something that she would find it useful till the age of 5, but Hubby did not think otherwise, he thinks that it too ‘deep’ for her so had decided not to get that. Then I saw something that I think she will love it. It’s a Barney singing bus, immediately, she loves it so I cannot resist but to get that for her. So after all these, we went to pay and found that there’s a 20% storewide for most of the items we bought except of those already on offer.
Here’s the list of what we had bought :-

1) 3 packs of NUK teats – L hole
2) 1 pack of NUK pacifier
3) 1 pack of twin packs Hand & Mouth wipes from Pigeon
4) 1 pack of 30 travel sized Wet Tissues from Tollijoy
5) 1 pack of Wet Tissues from Tollijoy – bottled form
6) 1 cup cover for her Maga cup
7) 1 cup from Pigeon for 9 mths n above
8) 1 Barney bus with 4 songs

For all the above, we spend less than $80 in all, what a steal and the best thing is that I did not have to pay anything, $60 by voucher and the $20 Hubby paid for it.
We went to the men’s department as Hubby wanted to get a set of calf links for his new shirts. And he paid $71 after 10% discount. After all these, we went back home and fed Sherry with rice and some vegetable soup and she loves it.
Since she only had a short nap in the afternoon, quickly settled her for bed around 9pm and we all had an early night as we all reports to La La land by 10pm.

Mum’s place

We had not gone back last week as Sherry was still not feeling well since she has recovered we are back to the routine.
We all woke up pretty late and we had to begin the day later than usual. So when FIL woke up, Sherry had not even taken her lunch as I’m still cooking. She only finished her lunch 1pm and by then FIL had already went down to wait for us.
Sherry fell asleep on the way there and was cranky when we reached there as I think she did not have enough sleep. Quickly settle her into the sarong and in no time, she is happy again. But she did not fall sleep again until Sister went to rock her and then she had a 2 hours nap. It was already 630pm when she woke up but I was having my nap. My little girl did not wake me up until she was half way thru her porridge, den she went to call ‘ma-ma’. I still refused to wake up even though she kept calling me, out of no choice, woke up and found Hubby is already there.
After her porridge and a short rest, it’s time for her bath. It’s so nice to be at mum’s place, everything will be taken care off without me have to worry a single bit. After dinner, we just sit around and chat a little while Daddy brings his grand-daughter down for a little walk.
It was already 9 plus when we left but she did not sleep and was still very awake when we reached home. But mummy is already very tired, so quickly chase her to bed.

Hai… Worst month ever!!

This Feb closing is such a torture for me! Since we are still having problem with the TA system, there is no choice but to generate invoices by using the most conventional way, by job sheets!!! Goodness, this will be the most tedious way for everyone involved. But in order for us to do the billing on time, this seems to be the best resort.
I’ll have to try my best to finish all the invoicing by Friday or latest Monday so that Calvin would be able to book them into the system in time for the closing. Just wish that everyone will be co-operative to send me their job sheets in order, easy for me to process the invoices in time.Since I’ve got work till my eyes, there is not much time left for me to chat with the gals. Really missing u all so much but keep away will be the best option to concentrate on my tons of work.
By the way, my FC will be going on leave, actually from today onwards and I will not see him till the 20th March 2006 in the new office. In fact he’ll be back on the 13th March but by then it’s my turn to be on leave. So during his absence there are lots of things for me to follow up. Hopefully, during this period of time, that particular person will not make things difficult for me!

Early Alarm

Woken up by Sherry at around 230am, she was crying telling me pain. Went to check on her diapers, she had LS again and it must have cause rashes on her buttock that hurt her so much. Poor gal…
We tried our best to pacify her and it took us about an hour to do so. Although MIL had heard her cries but she did not come out of her room which had made thing much easier for us. She managed to fall asleep around 330am and in about 3 hours times my alarm will be going off by then… hai… Sleepy lei…
Cannot really sleep much, so once the alarm went off, I woke up to do the routine work of cleaning and getting ready to work. Busy day ahead!!

Stay @ home weekend

Since she had not recovered from her LS, we decided to keep her home for the weekend too, which means not going to my mum’s place too.
But she did not seems to be getting any better after Saturday so we brought her to Dr Thomas Wong, her pediatrician. He mentioned that, she looks fine and has been active so there should not be anything that we need to worry about. He had also prescribed some stronger medication if the one given by the family doctor does not help. He also mentioned that he had not given the right dosage, she should be given 5ml instead of the 2ml, may be that is the reason why the LS did not stop.
Hubby decided not to give her the strong medication instead he wants to continue giving her the old one but with a higher dosage, but it does not seems to help at all, she is still having LS.
That poor gal, she lost so much weight. Heart pain!!

Missed 2 lessons

Sherry had already missed her Tuesday’s class as she was still having runny nose. So in order not to pass the virus around, we had decided to keep her at home to recuperate, hopefully she’ll be able to attend school on Thursday.
But when come Thursday, besides having her runny nose, she has diarrhea also! Oh my god! She had the run for 5 days in the day, and when MIL wanted to bring her to the doctor, Hubby told her wait & see how. Hai.. dunno wait & see what lei!!!!
So in the end, MIL brought her to the doctor today and was given 1 bottle of medication for her runny nose and the other for the diarrhea. Luckily after 2 dosage of the runny nose medication, it stopped almost completely. But not for the diarrhea, she still has the run about 5 times that day. Poor gal, she did not even have the appetite to have her proper meals. She just wanted to have bread or plain white rice when she is hungry or even just milk will do.
Hai, poor gal, Mummy see liao very heart pain lei…. Hope she quickly recover lah.

Save me!!!

I’ve received news that the TA system had been recovered BUT there were no back up from the 23 November 2005 onwards. Which means all data (& I mean ALL) from that day onwards are all gone!!!! OMG!!! Hai!!
JPN still unable to recover everything and they had provided a new path to log onto the server. They had done some re-routing to another server and in turn log onto the JPN server. So now everyone have to do likewise. But I’m facing the problem of unable to even log onto the remote server!!! I’m really very worried cos time is running out, I still have to do my comparison and then I can proceed to do what’s required before the rest of the team can put in their hours, after which then I can cut invoice to customer! L
I just wished that this log into the remote server problem will be solved by today and I would be able to start doing my part before the end of the month, if not all the fault will be mine again!!! Boo Hoo Hoo!!!

All Away

Just had news that FC will be in JPN from 27th Feb till 01st Mar and then he will be on leave from 02nd Mar till 12th Mar. Whereas the MD will be away from the 28th Feb till the 19th of Mar. And they are our cheque signatories, so in order not to miss them, I had to issue all my payments today. Not much of chatting with the gals as I’m busy with all the work…
Oh yes, we had collected the keys to the new office and seems like the renovation had already begin over there. 17th Mar will be the day of removal and I happened to be on leave that week, may be I’ll just popped by to see if there’s anything I can help with little Sherry.. hee…

MIL on her trip to 海南岛

She had gone down to book the trip with her SILs on Sunday afternoon. They went to 2 different agencies. MIL did not want to take the transit flight but the other SIL wanted (of cos it’s cheaper lah) and the worst thing is I would need to apply another day leave because they will depart on 14th Mar 2006.
When she came back, she was grumbling say she does not like to transit @ 广洲 and does not want to depart on 14th Mar. We were thinking how come she did not voice out there & then. Guess, she just did not want to make a fuss out of it. So I went to do some checking from my friend, she also suggest that they choose the direct flight cos it will not be easy to transit there.
So I went to call the agency and check out the details so insisted that they do not want to fly on the 14th Mar. But it turn out that they are fully booked from the 11th till 13th Mar. So the lady said if they really cannot then, they’ll refund the deposit that had been paid.
After all the hassle, they still went back to the 1st agency that they went to. Although this one is slightly more expensive, at least they have direct flight which we felt safer for them. No need to worry if they had reached the airport and got on to the connecting flight and also no need to worry for them about their lost baggage.
So now she’ll be flying on the 11th and coming back on either 18th or 19th Mar. Yippie

乌龙 MIL

She had mentioned that she had brought back the wrong cup from Sherry so she would like to go back & exchange but it turn out to be otherwise.
MIL had brought the cup down on Monday and spoke to the teacher Mrs Kwan. It turned out that it was Mrs Kwan who had made a little black dot on the Sherry’s cup to differentiate with the rest. It had turn out to be that there is someone else using the same colour cup so it so nice of her to do that little marking. Kekeke…
So when she is home, she told Sherry that’s her cup and has to start using it again. And when I went home, I also told her that this cup is bought by Mummy, it’s hers and she should start using it again. Keke… n she nodded her head, hope she really understand me. So cute... keke

Runny Nose

Since yesterday morning, Sherry had been sneezing quite a number of times, but we did not suspect anything till the wee hours of Sunday.
She woke up around 3am and started to cry and sneeze at the same time. She did not want to go back to sleep and just want to be held in my arms. I knew something is not right and the next thing we saw was the mucus flowing out from her little nose. We immediately switched the air-con to fan mode.
She refused to go to bed till around 6am. I was dead tired by then! She just wanted to follow wherever she goes (even to find MIL). She was unable to sleep peaceful as she is not used to sleep in a non air-con room. She must have been feeling so warm and this silly Mummy should have removed her long sleeve shirt. Hai…
Come morning, she woke up around 9am and did not show the slightest sign of being sick, she still able to run about like normal and even play like normal except that sneezing and the mucus part and did not have much appetite.
We had some medication but did not want to give her as we were thinking of letting her fight the bug on her own, sort of building up her immune system (this time, my Hubby really surprised me by saying this). We had to cancel all our plans of going shopping to confine her in the home to fight the bug…
She seems to be feeling better in the night but we just need to monitor her condition closely. We still turn on the air-con but at a higher temperature so that she can sleep peacefully throughout the night.
