Sound of Music

Last night, went out with the girls and my two sisters to watch the Sound of Music musical.. very enjoying but I still feel that Mama Mia is better..
MIL told me that Sherry is still staring out of the windows. Could it be, she can see further so she is curious, I really don't know....
But anyway, she is still sleeping on the big bed with MIL and refused to go into her cot.. (not a very good news for me)..
Wondering how to coax her into her cot cos today is already Friday & its my turn to sleep with her... keep my fingers cross...

Strange Things

Past few days, some strange things happened...
First.. Sunday night. Sherry kept on staring out of the window, refused to sleep.
Secondly.. She woke up in the middle of the night (2am) sat upright in her bb cot and wanted to come out to the big bed with MIL. When MIL brought her back into her cot, she just simply refused.. So MIL let her sleep on the big bed with her.
Come.. Monday night.. She didn't stared at the window but, she woke up in the middle of the night (1am) and wanting to come out of her bb cot. So MIL let her be and this time she kept staring out of the window n MIL shifted her position, in no time she just fell asleep.. The other thing is her musical rattler hanging on the cot went off with anyone turn it.. *spooky*
Last night, MIL bathe her with some 'fu' and I also let her take some of it. So after taking her night feed we just left her out on the big bed to sleep with MIL and she slept throughout the night. At the same time, we remove that musical stuff
Emm.. Will have to observe her for another couple of nights... Hopefully she'll be alright.. *spooky spooky*

Sherry's 11mths Today

Yippe... Sherry is exactly 11 mths old today... Next month she'll be exactly 1 yrs old... Emmm... Times really files!!!!

Money Issues

Hai.. after reading Jan's Blog, it just brought back memories too... Me too was a victim of these type of people... Lending money but didn't even bother to return.. Well, I guess, there is no way that I can recover the sum cos I've already lost touch with that friend of mine..
Today, had arranged to meet with Joan, the lady who is selling the flash cards. Kat had met her at Civic Plaza and told me about this last week.. But din seems to have the time to go down and take a look, Luckily she is staying around YT so arranged the meeting at the YT Guardian.
Wow.. Those are the type of flash cards that I had been looking for a long time ago... So I just snapped up 8 sets out of the 10 that she brought, and the amazing thing is I only pay $46 for all of them.. Cheap right!!! Yeah!!!.. Really worthwhile leh...
So after grapping dinner, I quickly rush home and show them to MIL so that she can also help to show Sherry cos they are all dual language.
emm.. These two nights Sherry will wake up in the middle of the night like 1 or 2 am.. She will not sleep in her baby cot n want to come out to sleep on the bed with MIL... Dunno what's wrong lei.. *scratch head*.....

1st Day - Back to Work

Today is the 1st Day at the contract job... Emmm.. the people are nice & the place is very very bright.. (very open concept)..
I really miss Sherry so much today, keep on thinking of her the whole day even though I have lots of things to pick up.. Only today then, I know that this position is newly created & not to take over someone who is leaving. The lady who was doing all this will be transferred to do solely on HR instead of dual roles.... Hei.. tell u a secret... I'll most likely to be issued a new laptop.. Yippee.. can bring home but of cos will have to anticipate to bring some work home lor...
So much about work... Life is back to normal..
Looking forward to the long weekend...

Sweet Sherry

Emmm.. Just a normal Sunday.. Lazing around and the weather is killing me.. hot & humid...
Nowadays, Sherry is more attached to me, maybe because I have spent lots of time with her... Sometimes, she also don't want MIL.. keep looking for 'mama'.. hee hee... at times, she will just turn around, look at me n say 'mama'... so sweet n touching...
Hai.. sweet but short... will be back to work again...

More time with Sherry

Wmm.. suppose to have a mini gathering at Jan's place but was cancelled cos Kat had something on.. So it was postponed to the following week...
We had engaged a part time cleaner and she is here for the 1st time and she spent 5 hours..
She had cleaned the kitchen cabinets, kitchen windows, service balcony's windows n most importantly.. MY CLOTHES!!! haha.. no more ironing for me.... Yippee!!! This means that more time to be spent with Sherry!!!
In the evening, MIL & ! brought Sherry on a MRT ride to Causeway Point with no pram.. Both of us just take turns to carry her lah... WOW!!! my princess is growing fast lei... hee hee
In the end.. we just brought some vegetables from Cold Storage.... We all enjoyed our short shopping trip...

2nd Day!!

Plan :- Go back to mum's place..
Haha.. After much nagging... Big BB (Daddy) went to the dr and had a day off..
After little princess had her porridge, I went back to Hougang as plan & left Daddy at home.. Wanted him to stay at home in order not to pass the bug to Sherry.
Since, we were on the way home, we went to Hougang Mall to pick the two sisters. I cooked ham & egg for lunch (as promised)
Today, we also celebrate Pin's 23rd birthday, so in the afternoon Dad and Yi went to buy a Pandan Kaya cake for her..

1st Day as a temp SAHM

Today... 1st day as a tem SAHM...
My boss from the temp job wanted me to end my temp earlier, well, its even beeter.. which means I have more time to spend with Sherry.... Yippee....
Emm.. nothing much happened today... just spend a wonderful day with Sherry...
Daddy had a flu but refused to see a dr... so stay away from my daughter...

Last Day on Temp!!!!

YEAH!!!! ITS THE FINAL COUNTDOWN!!!
Today is my last day on this temp job, & I'll have 2 days rest before the start of the new job on Monday the 25th.
Last evening, Kat & I arranged to meet at (this time) Outram MRT to go back together. Since she had missed to see Sherry twice, I was really praying hard to she can see her at the MRT, (cross my fingers). We reached YT at around 635pm and (luckily) Sherry was waiting for me outside Guardian *phew...* So at last Kat saw her!!! Sherry was in a good mood (emm) she was very smiley n kept on smiling to Kat... (proud mummy)...
After dinner, MIL & I brought her to the pasar malam.. That was her first time there so she was very fascinated by everything around her.. Later she was so tired that she nearly feel asleep on the pram.. So we went home after buying some vegetables...
After washing up & feeding her, I put her to bed but as usual she was looking for her 'nai nai'.. I just simply pretended that I didn't hear her, but when she say 'ma ma', I acknowledge n tell her that I'm here, its alright, just sleep.. hee hee..
Not long, she was fast asleep, so hubby & I watched the CSI.. shiok...
p.s. off for 2 days = no way to update blog... 'boo hoo hoo'....

Final Countdown

Yippeee!!!!! Tomorrow is my last day at the temp job.. These 2 days had been busy handing over my duties to the new girl call Celin. So I'll have 2 free days to be spent with my darling Sherry.
These few days, Sherry had learnt something new... When we asked who is bao bei?? She'll tap on her chest, telling u its her.. So we asked a few more like.. 'darling girl', 'honey', 'sweetheart', 'sweetie pie'.. Its all her... hee hee.. so cute..
Last night, I tried out plan B &.... ITS WORKS!!! Although she'll looked for MIL after awhile but I just kept on singing to distract her. MIL came n peeped at her twice but I signalled to her by waving, so she just closed the door quietly n went back to read her papers. Not long later Sherry was asleep soundly with her newly bought quilt.. Will try again tonight!!

1st MRT Ride with Sherry

Yippeee... MRT ride..
We wanted to go to M1 Shop @ West Mall so instead of driving, we took MRT since it was only 3 stations away..
But in the end... we got a set of quilt & quilt cover for Sherry from Aussino but didn't get our Nokia 3230 from the shop but we did enjoy the ride with Sherry.
Shall do it more often... :)

Plan B

Hai... Most likely will have to carry out Plan B...
Sherry seems that recognizing her bed, cos when I put her to bed in my room, she woke up in the middle of the night around 4.30am. She was looking around & seems to be looking for her things. I thought she wanted milk but she only took 2oz out of the 4oz & she didn't want to sleep after the feed (which is not normal). We had to coax her to sleep in her sarong and transferred her to our bed, that was already 530am and then she woke at 730am... ARRGH...
So had told MIL directly that my daughter is not close to me cos MIL she's around when I spent the quality time with her every evening, & to my surprise she agrees with me!!! & I took this opportunity to tell her not to come into the room when I'm alone with Sherry so that I can do my duty as a mummy to spend time n make her sleep & if MIL is tired, she'll goes to my room to rest, if not, she'll watch her TV in the living room.
Emmm.. So Plan B will be 'lock out' MIL till Sherry falls asleep in her own room. Hopefully, it works... Cross my fingers...

2nd Attempt - Almost Failed

'Heng arh'.. The plan almost backfired last night.
As usual, when I was spending MY time n feeding my little princess, MIL came in with Sherry's towel, telling me to clean her up before putting on her pajamas. So I cleaned her up while MIL helped me to feed her. After bring out the soiled diapers, she came right back to my room.. OH MY GOD!! I said inside my heart.. Dun tell me...
But Sherry was about to dozed off so I just tell her nicely 'Mum, she wants to sleep liao, i think you better go out, if not..' Luckily, she agrees with me, n she went out to watch her TV. Hopefully she'll get the hint one day.
Anyway.. Today is FRIDAY which means, its official for me to sleep with my little princess... Hee hee... Looking forward... :)

MSN & Forum Friend

Hee Hee... First it was an arranged meetup with Jan then now Kat both mummies from the forum n staying at YT.
She works at HabourFront, so normally, she has to take a bus to Dover MRT n then take train back to YT so since I'm at Tanjong Pagar, we just arranged the meetup at Dover.Although, its our first meetup, we chat like as if we knew each other for a long time.
Well, looking forward for more future meet up.. mayb there'll be one this weekend with Jan joining us.. :)

1st Try

Haha... I carried out my plan secretly last night.. n it works..
After having my dinner, I went to MIL's room to accompany Sherry so MIL could have her dinner. After she left the room, I secretly carried Sherry with her pillow n pacifier to my room, on the aircon and spend MY precious half an hour with her before she sleeps.
When my hubby came back, he was surprised n asked me what happen, why is Sherry in our room. So, I just answered him clamly, nothing, just wanna spend more time with MY daughter n at the same time, your mum can rest mah. Then, he went out to have his dinner. Later MIL did opened my door n peeped, but since Sherry was about to sleep, she just left n closed the door gently.
In the end, we both fell asleep. Daddy carried her back to her cot at around 10 plus.
Yippee... Wat a success!! Will contiune as it is tonight. Wish me luck!!

Bus Ride

Sherry went her 2nd bus ride yesterday. According to MIL, she seems to enjoy it very much.
Usually, every evening, Sherry will goes to the MRT stn to wait for mummy, but I had a facial appt so MIL brought her for a bus ride. They took bus no. 307 to the CCK interchange, went to Lot 1's BreadTalk to buy bread (Sherry cannot resist seeing others eating bread) and they take bus 302 back to Yew Tee MRT stn.
By the time, hubby and I reached home, she was already sound asleep.

Quality Time

Haiz... Sometimes really hope that I'm a SAHM so that I'll be able to look after Sherry on my own without anyone 'invending'.
Last night, Sherry was drinking her milk before going to bed. She was already half way there, but when MIL came into the room, 'blink blink', Sherry's eyes became so big n round.
Nowadays, MIL has the habit of coming into the room n 'share' my quality time with Sherry. I'm really FED UP with her. I've hinted her to go n watch her favourite TV program but she also has excuses, like.. 'aiya, outside so hot', 'I'm tired, want to sleep liao', 'I want to enjoy aircon'.
She has spent so much time with Sherry n she still wants to 'steal' my time with my own daughter! Ridiculous!!!
Ha.. I thought of a plan last night... From tomorrow night onwards, I shall bring Sherry to my own room, lock the door n spend my precious quality time with her. I shall also make Sherry sleep on my bed first and then carry her to her own cot.. Okie, this will be it... Hopefully, this will stop MIL's nonsense, and I'll be able to spend more time with my princess.
